Teale managed to grab Pachirisu before James did. He sighed in good humor, and nodded. "Yeah, she's mine," he said. He couldn't help but wince as Pachirisu devoured the sugar cube. Flaaffy bleated pathetically, and looked up at her trainer with sparkling eyes. James rolled his eyes, and handed Flaaffy a small cube of sugar. He looked down and saw another pair of eyes, this pair belonging to Sabrina.
"Sabrina's just shy," James explained to Ryuk. Pikachu leaped from his shoulder to hers, and growled at Raven.

Teale handed the white squirrel to James. "Alruight alright Haylee, we get it, you're hungry!" Teale laughed. Haylee had been tugging on her pant leg determindly. Teale made herself and her pokemon a plate. "So how about this place? This is my first tournament, but I didn't think they'd host it somewhere like this!" She said, trying to make conversation.

Raven hopped over to the table and began picking at the poke food, Ryuk watched her, leaving Sabrina alone now.

Sabrina shrugged. She'd never been to a tournament, and wouldn't have come to this one either if James hadn't brought her along. She wasn't even a participant, something she felt the hosts were going to remind her of with their treatment. She hadn't even thought about what she might not get to do besides battle until last night. She sighed. Maybe there would be some other new trainers she could battle. Pixel looked up at her with pleading eyes. Sabrina smiled and gathered a plate for her and her pokemon. Shortly after, she curled up on the ground in a corner, Pixel and Eevee with her.

"This is my..." James counted in his head while Pachirisu scrambled onto his free shoulder. "Fifth tournament, I think...? But the first I've competed in. I'm a photographer, so I get around a lot." He grabbed a piece of crispy toast from the table, and shared it with Pikachu. "It's definitely a nice place, though."

"You can probably get some really nice photos here, can't you, James?" Sabrina asked loud enough for him to hear, then continued more quietly, "I mean, there are bound to be some interesting opportunities here." She held a ball of pokechow out to Pixel, giggling slightly when his tongue tickled her fingertips.

"You can say that again," Teale nodded at Sabrina before looking at her Pokeballs. "I shouldlet the others out so they can eat, too, but I need a pond or something for Tentacruel... I'll probably have to take him outside," she sighed. "Oh well," She threw the pokeball with Scyther in it and let him come out, but she didn't let out the others. She wanted to save them as surprises for the tournament. She began carefully putting pokechow ontoo plates for all of them, and figured she'd just tak them back to her room.

Ryuk went ahead and let the rest of his Pokemon out and watched as they nibbled on the food, they seemed to have good table manners, especially for Pokemon. He then turned to Teale and spoke to her," If you want I could help with that."

"Nah, I'll be fine," she said, not wanting Ryuk to see Alakazam, Houndoom, or Quilava. Carrying the plates out the doors, she said. "Can you guys make sure Haylee doesn't do anything funny while I'm gone?"

Teale laughed as she walked outside. Standing on the dock, she threw out the pokeballs and set the food down for her pokemon. "Eat quickly okay guys? I want you guys to stay secret till the battle starts if at all possible."
It seemed as if they understood. Quilava ate much quicker than usual, and Alakazam only waited about thirty seconds before beginning his food. Houndoom did not wait dutifully by her side like normal, instead rushed in for the food as soon as she spoke.
