"Nope," Mary was really getting annoyed.

[Raven]

"I promise it won't melt your skin. Now will you please lay down?" Tabitha asked, her voice still imitating Barbie's.

[Gifted]

"No, I'll sit up. I don't give a damn if the pain spreads more. now will youl just hurry up?" Mary snapped.

[Raven]

Tabitha was clearly not happy with Mary. She removed the cork that bottled up the liquid in the little metal container. "Fine." She dripped a small bit on Mary's hand. The concoction was specifically made to spread through the body targeting the subject's nerves. Of course, since she hadn't had the chance to use it, Tabitha didn't know if it worked.

Mary felt the pain as soon as it hit her hand, but kept her face sullen and impassive. Showing pain would be showing weakness. She focused on keeping her exression impassive until the pain stopped.
"Is that all?" she asked coolly.

[Raven]

Tabitha smiled. "There, one of two things happened. Either you're the best at hiding pain here there is, or this doesn't work. We'll see which one tomorrow," she said. That was one of the other things Tabitha did. She explained the effects of something to her "patients."
Turning to examine the shelves again, Tabitha smiled again. "I assure you, it's far from over. I hope you'll believe me when I tell you that this next one is intended to help you. For it to work, though, you'll have to eat it."

"I highly doubt that." She said coolly. "Hows it supposed to help me?"

[Raven]

"It's designed to make sure you don't catch fire," Tabitha said, smiling evilly.

[Gifted]

"What?" Mary said, looking up at Tabitha to make sure she wasn`t joking.

[Raven]

Tabitha was completely serious, and obviously very happy about it. "Of course, it has no effect whatsoever on your clothing. You'll have to make sure you don't get burnt from that nuisance.

Mary nodded, trying very very hard to look like she WASN'T scared out of her wits.

[Raven]

"Eat up," Tabitha said, loosening one of the chains and handing her another vial.

[Gifted]

She debated for a second if complying was losing. Then she decided she'd already complied mby aloowing the girl to pour crap on her hand and that she did NOT want to be set on fire. She drank the vial slowly, watching to see if Tabitha smiled, or started laugghing, or anything that could mean this was more dangerous than she was letting on.

Tabitha actually looked quite bored. "Will you hurry up?" She snapped.

"I'll take my sweet ass time if I want to," she shot back after draining the vial.
