"Hmm. Where shall we start?" Tabitha asked, giggling as she looked over her shoulder at a shelf of vials and objects that were quite obviously torture instruments. She ran her finger across the vials, her fingernail against the glass and metal making obnoxious clinking sounds.

Mary was sitting up now, assessing the room and her own phsycal condition. Her mind was racing.

The room was fairly small with one door. Tabitha was between Mary and anything that could conceivably be used to injure someone, the only piece of furniture besides the shelves in the room was a cold metal table that was fastened to the ground. Both Mary's wrists were chained to the table, allowing movement, but not escape. Tabitha seemed to come to a decision and her eyes glinted maliciously. She pulled one of the vials off the shelf. It was probably the smallest of the containers there. After examining it for a moment, she turned to face Mary again.

The thing that annoyed Mary most wasthe fact that she was chained up. Even if she could kick the crap out of Tabitha she'd never get out of the room. On the upside, it seemed Mary hadn't had any phisycal harm done to her while she was unconcious, so she was stilll able-bodied and perfectly fit to kill someone.

"Since I don't figure you'll be allowing me to have you eat anything, we'll start with this one," Tabitha told Mary. She clearly hated the girl.

Mary ignored her. She knew whatever testing she was put through would be painful. She thought about forcing Hilary to show up -this girl might do Mary's work for her and kill Hilary- but that felt like ducking out, and Mary was not going to be beaten again.

"It would be better if you lay down, so it doesn't drip to the rest of your body," Tabitha said.

This kind of scared Mary, but she was determined not to show it. "Why's that?" she asked, avoiding eye contact.

"Mainly because then the pain would spread much more quickly," Tabitha replied. In fact, it would spread more quickly and stop more quickly. Tabitha was mostly concerned about the second fact.

"Oh f*ck you, a three year old could have told me that," she glared at tabitha. "Is it going to burn my skin or eat it away like acid? Or will there be no actual affect on my skin? THAT'S all I wanted to know,"

"You'll just have to see," Tabitha replied. "Lay down."

"I might lay down when and if I find out what this things going to do to my skin!" Mary snapped.

Tabitha glared, but just took Mary's shoulder and pushed it down on the table. She watched Mary carefully as she did so, prepared to withdraw her hand if Mary was going to bite.

Mary didn't bite her, just smacked her hand out of the way and sat up again, giving Tabitha the double fingered salute.

"So you don't like surprises?" Tabitha asked in an annoyingly happy and preppy tone.
