Lost Island and Human Testing

Emily sat there, stroking Susie's hair. She made no effort to move and didn't let on if she was bored.

After awhile Suisie sat up, no longer crying. She was silent for a minute or two. Then she sighed audibly and turned. She seemed surprised to see Emily there.
Hilary mimed writing on her hand, wondering if there was a pencil and paper around because she doubted anyone here could understand sign language.

[Raven]

Emily frowned for a moment, then looked up at Pride. "I think she's asking for something to write with. This must be Hilary," she said.

[Gifted]

"I think I've got a pencil and paper in my room," Pride said, running off. She threw a couple of old papers vcovered in writing she never looked at anymore on the ground and grabbed the rest of the stack. She then grabbed a pencil and handed it to Hilary.
Hilary wrote in clear percise writing.

Susie's just tired, she'll be okay. And I apologize about Mary. I can't speak, so this is the only way I can communicate. Unless one of you knows sign language.

"Don't worry about Mary. It's not like you can control what she does when she comes out," Emily said. "I'm sorry, but I don't know sign language. I'm around the blind a lot, but not mute."

Not a probblem, I can deal with it. That's what the pencil and paper is for
She smirked.

"It's too bad you're here. It's not a place you want to be," Emily said.

So I hear. Mary seems to like to eavesdrop Hilary rolled her eyes.

[Raven]

"Hopefully you, Mary, and Susie have gotten out of testing for the day," Emily said, glancing at Pride.

[Gifted]

The way that man looked I think everyones out of testing for today Hilary smirked.

[Raven]

"If he were the only scientist, you would certainly be right. The woman will no doubt still be coming up for a few of us," Emily said.

[Gifted]

She doesn't care even if he'll be okay? He's in critical condition!!! She bit her lip, frowning.

[Raven]

"I doubt it. She doesn't seem like the most caring person to me. I would be surprised if at least one more person gets dragged out for testing," Emily answered.

[Gifted]

Hilary shook her head in disgust, not bothering to write down an awnser.

[Raven]

It was a few hours before Tabitha was back. She looked around, as if making sure none of the test subjects were going to attack her with rusty nails.
