I did not trust this guy at all. I hovered a foot or so away, my muscles tensed to either dodge or attack at a moments notice.

Okay, maybe I was reading too much into this. But that reason probably told me all I need to know. He was protecting someone.... was it this Sneasel everyone was talking about? Was he one of her helpers? Or someone else entirely?

I looked around and spoke," ...I'm not sure I want to take you in anymore...after al land extra set of paws could be helpful... follow me." I gestured for her to follow and started heading towards the orphans, making sure we weren't being watched or followed.

I followed him, not caring where he was taking me. If I could help... Well, it would only be worth it if those orphans really existed. I hoped I wasn't being manipulated.

we came to a back alley where I slipped into an abandoned looking building, there were 4 thin Pokemon in there and they were filthy also. The first was a Houndour, the second a Corphish, the third was a Larvitar, and the last one was a Murkrow. I smiled as they rushed up to me," It's not much today but I brought some food...and maybe some friends." I reached into my bag and pulled out three big apples, letting them eat and nibbling on the few scraps they left behind.
