Cathy bounded forward excitedly. "It's a non-half-person!" she said loudly. "A non-half-person! Hello!" She grinned before adding, "Where are you and me?"

Katrisha shook her head. How am I supposed to answer? You stupid girl, I'm mute! she thought. She made motions with her hands to depict mute and writing.

Cathy cocked her head, copying the motions. Then, she shook her head. "Where are you and me?" she repeated, not understanding that Katrisha couldn't speak. The fact that people don't speak seemed to escape her.

Cathy turned her head to look at where she was pointing but turned back, frowning. "I would like to know where you and me are," she said, a little more forcefully. She paused before adding, "Please."

Katrisha stamped her foot in frustration. Then she crouched and wrote "dungeon" in the dust; upside down, so Cathy could read it.

"D-u-n-g-e-o-n?" Cathy spelt. "Dun-g-e-on?" She bit her lip, concentrating. She then looked up. "What is a dunge-e-on?"

Cathy stopped walking before turning around and walking back over. "What is a dunge-e-on?" she asked again, still looking upset. If Katrisha wouldn't answer, she would ask Tristan.
