Cathy nodded. "Yes. Trisha is a person and Jack is a small Trisha!" she told him for what was most-likely the fourth time. "They are my friends!"

Tristan nodded. Adam glanced at Zach. "Tristan, Zach, you two go on ahead, we'll be right behind you," he said. Both of them nodded, then urged their horses into a trot.

Cathy jumped as the horse started moving. "I-it moves?" she gasped in surprise. "Why does it move? Oh! It is a person! Of course it moves!" She laughed at her mistake.

Down the other path, the one Fugama had chosen, there was a fortress. Unlike the Castle of Darkness, it didn't seem to live up to it's name. There was nothing bright or light about it. There was another sign ahead, but it was too far away to be read.

Fugama approached cautiously thinking that any moment he could be stricken by some unseen force. wondering what the sign could be. free cookies? pay your soul? chicken cereal perhaps. suddenly he lost all cautiousness and runs torward the sign.

"Castle of Plight," the sign read. Well, that explained why light on the other sign hadn't been capitalized. Fugama, though, had barely enough time to catch a glimpse of the words as he fell into a pit trap.

as Fugama fell he yelled "That wasn't chicken cereal!" then hit the ground where he was unconscious for a few minutes. he woke up think "what the figgly just happened then flinched when he though a shoe was being hurled at him. after he realized the hallucination he got up, then wondered. WTH happens next

Cathy tugged on Tristan's arm again. "Are we there yet? I want to meet more people!" she asked him, her voice slightly impatient. Then, almost as an afterthought, she added, "I like people! Can you point the people out to me?"

Fug was forced to sit there, in the pit, until I chose to say different and have someone come get him.
"Soon," Tristan replied. Luke and Adam glanced at each other. "Hold on," Luke told Trisha. Then they were following Tristan and Zach.
