Blue decided she was bringing the tape with her as evidence. "Can you burn that video to a disc Seven?" she asked.
"Sure gimme five minutes," he said. Five minutes later he handed a smooth silver CD to Blue. She went down the hall with it and knocked on Rhyme and Kats door. "It's Blue," she called through it. "Seven found some extremley interesting information on the Kira case,"

Rhyme sighed, and walked over to the door. He gave Kat a "I hope this will be quick" look before opening the door.

"Do share," he said, stepping aside to let Blue in.

"I think I know who Kira is. Seven stayed up four hours last night deciphering the dialouge on this video," here she held up the CD. "He almost couldn't do it, the people speaking were too far away from the camera. but he finally did. You guys want to see it?" She wondered if they had detected the tiniest hint of a threat she'd allowed to creep into her voice near the beginning, though it had dissppeared by the end.

Kat's eyes flashed. "Who, exactly, are these people who were far away from the camera?" she asked.

Rhyme was about to reply when Kat spoke. He realized what she was getting to, and bit his lip in thought.

Please, God, he prayed, show mercy on this sinner, please. Scratch the disc, do something, there's no way this could be anything but us... Dammit, Seven!

"Do you have something for me to show the video on? I'd rather show you then tell you..." she trailed off. it still seemed innocent enough , or so she hoped. She held the CD out to Kat.

((It's still on Sevens computer Rhyme.. scratching the disc won't help. ))

"We actually don't and even if we did, I would want you to answer my question," Kat replied.

[Gifted]

"Who do you think?" Blue snapped, seriously ticked off. She wasn't getting the build up she wanted but she didn't care anymore. "I want you to give me one good reason why I shouldn't show this video to Velvet and get Rodger to haul your ass up to jail along with Sais? And that goes for you too Rhyme!"

[Raven]

"You can take us in all you want, but you have no proof against Sai. You won't either. Sai is going to die any day now, maybe a month from now. Well, that's what I believe. Yeah, I went to his house today; I went to see if he has the death note. I believe he's being controlled to make people, especially those close to him, think he is Kira. Okay?" Kat snapped. Tears began forming in her eyes as she lied, once again, for Sai. They were real, but they added nicely to the lie as well.

Blue faltered, she hadn't thought of that. "Yeah, well... you've been covering for him for I don't know how long, how do you expect me to believe you now?" she asked.

Rhyme stepped back, stunned by Blue's outburst. He had been expecting something, but not a full-on explosion from both sides. He quickly recovered.

"Because we actually made a few steps forward in the investigation," he said, trying to keep his composure (between the shouts and Kat crying, it wasn't easy), "Kat's telling the truth. Why would she lie?" He motioned his hand to Kat, and his tone grew angrier. "We're not a bunch of morally-challenged idiots here! If Kat, I, or anyone else knew for a fact--a fact, not just a hunch--that someone was Kira, they'd turn them in without a second thought!"

Rhyme held out his hands, as if he were waiting to be handcuffed, to Blue. "But, go ahead, show Velvet, show the entirety of the orphanage. If you think it's that important you one-upped us, I'm fine. I'm sure this is what Kira would want--us fighting between ourselves. So, since we're obviously in league with Kira, or Sai, now that you've cleverly deduced the killer's real name, arrest us, and follow a false lead." Rhyme then threw his hands up in the air, and turned around, exasperated.

"Or, God forbid, believe us!"

[Raven]

"I believe that Sai will be dead within the month. When, exactly, I obviously can't be sure. If I'm wrong and he has the death note and was just refusing to show me, then we'll know in 27 days. Once we clear that, then you can go ahead and do whatever you please. Deal?" Kat asked. "Also, I didn't tell Sai anything about the fact that he might die and I would appreciate it if you didn't either..."

"Rhyme, wew were supposed to be working on this as a TEAM, I don't believe your dumb enough to keep even a hunch from us, you know full well four minds are better than two. We were fighting between ourselves o begin with -in case you haven't noticed Rhyme, I don't like you- so it really makes zero fdifference, and Kat, do you honestly think we can afford to wait 27 days?"

[Raven]

"Would you rather search for something that may or may not be there and get thrown in jail for illegal searching?" Kat snapped. "That would set us back a lot farther than 27 days!"

"I'm not saying the whole group goes! Setting up will take two weeks, tops, and I'll be the one doing the breaking and entering! And I don't care about the cops! Technically, one person could carry out my whole plan, but Rhyme and Velvet askd and it'd be faster with three! And don't even THINK about asking me if breaking the law is the right thing to do because I don't believe in your f*cking justice bull sh!t!" She yelled, before turning on her heel and stalking out of the room and down the hall.
