[Raven]

Kat wondered what Rhyme was doing. She decided to go visit Blue and Seven. Besides, she wanted to ask how the voice modifier was going. When she got there a few minutes later, she knocked without a pause.

[Gifted]

"No, I'm calling you pofessional looking," she said. "and probably if you dont want wooden boards in your room for weeks,"
She heard a knock. "Crap it must be Kat," she said quietly. "Coming!" she said louder, and walked to the door, opening it for her. "coming to check how the voice thing is coming along too? We were just about to get Seven to give us an update,"

[Rachel]

Velvet looked up, slightly surprised. She did her best to smile at Kat. Maybe when she had gone to see Kat, she found magazines in the floor, as Rhyme had suggested, and got angry about it. Maybe...
"Hey, Kat!" Velvet greeted her. "How are you feeling?"

[Raven]

"Yeah," Kat told Blue quietly. "Sorry to bother you." She smiled slightly at Rhyme, then turned her attention to Velvet. "I'm okay. To be truthful, I broke up with Sai." She then began bluffing, "He could have been in danger if I stayed with him and worked on the Kira case. I felt horrible about it earlier, because he didn't seem to fully understand, but now I know I did the right thing by keeping him safe. I wish I could do the same for everyone I care about." The last part was directed more at Rhyme, though Velvet and Blue wouldn't get it. She supposed Seven might guess. Then again, if Rhyme were okay with it, she'd tell them all. Unlike Sai, she had no urge to hide her love for Rhyme, unless, of course, he wanted to keep it private. "Anyway, I know you guys didn't like me being with him because I was including him in the investigation."

[Gifted]

Guess you got your ass kicked for nothing Rhyme, Teale thought. And I want my shoes back!
"Well thats good to hear," she said. Suddenly, there was a loud pop from the computer. Seven grinned, and hastily put on the headphones "Testing," he said into a small microphone attatched to the headphones. After tapping on the keyboard a few more times, he grinned. "I've done it!" he said.

[Rachel]

"You have?" Velvet asked, jumping to her feet in excitement, forgetting about Kat for the moment. "It works for sure?" She knitted her fingers together as she made her way towards Seven. This was good. But it was also a step closer to Kira, one step that she didn't really want to take at present.

[Raven]

"That's great!" Kat exclaimed, sitting next to Rhyme, her arm just brushing his.

[FoxTrott]

Rhyme was a bit surprised when Kat came in. He couldn't decide if he should tell her about their investigation, so he kept quiet about that for now. He scooted slightly closer to Kat.

"So, we have the voice," Rhyme began, "now we just need someone to be the new L, or O, or whatever, right?" He turned to face Kat. "Do you still want to do it?" he asked, a hint of worry in his voice.

[Gifted]

"Of course, we can now change the tone if you want, but I've finnally got it unwipeable. Even the most high-tech computer system wont be able to hear our real voices now," Seven smiled, speaking into the mic now "Testing testing, 1 2 3" and yanking the headphones out quickly, letting everyone hear through the speakers instead.
The voice that came out was a little higher than L's origanal voice, but the texture was roughly the same.

[FoxTrott]

"That's pretty neat!" Rhyme exclaimed after hearing the voice changer. He couldn't understand what happened on Seven's screen, but he could understand an untraceable voice changer.

[Rachel]

"That's awesome, Seven!" Velvet said, still grinning. After a moment, she turned, just as good as Rhyme was at understanding what he had done, and leant back against the door, where she had been before. She glanced over at Kat and Rhyme but didn't notice how close they were sitting. "What do we do next, guys?"

[Gifted]

Caught off guard bye Rhymes worried tone, Seven swiveled around in his chair, his expression still nuetral, and decided to "read" them as they seemed to like putting it. There was something alot different in the way they interacted, and he noticed they were sitting just a tad closer together than good friends really should be. Hmmm...

((we should wait till Kat responds before we do anything))

[Raven]

Kat grinned. "That's great, Seven! And Rhyme, why would I back out now? We're closer than we've ever been. Besides if we're being honest, I have yet to do anything towards this investigation. I still think we should go with W for our name. Anything public we need, I'll do it. I'm devoting myself to this case," she told them all.

[Rachel]

"Eager, Kat?" Velvet asked her before nodding. "I like W as well, but I guess it depends on what you think, seeing as we're working together and all... And are you sure it's safe to do it all yourself? Well, I guess it could be a little safer, seeing as you'll be you and that won't change dramatically, but it could put you in more danger than the rest of us..."

Now why would she put it like that? Seven frowned. Everyone knew she was dedicated to the case. They all were. She wouldn't feel the need to come out and say it. Which would mean there was something which might show her NOT dedicated to the case... and then there was this confusing thing with Rhyme and her. They seemed to be like, in love or something, that much was easy to read. But what did that have to do with anything? For the first time since he became a Whammy, he couldn't figure it out. And he was getting a headache trying. He moved the chair to the side, and puched it back so he could rest his head against the wall. "Okay you two whats the big secret?" he asked Kat and Rhyme. "and I'm not talking about your love affair either, theres something else you're keeping from us," then he muttered to himself "and I can't for the life of me figure out what it is!"
