Teale had measured the time each false word would take, even speaking the lines Sai would hear into her phone in case he finished with Kat and was listening. Now the phone call wuould be over and she had to make her look like she'd been criying as fast as possible.
She sighed. This wouldn't be terribly convincing, but if they didn't look too too closely it'd work and she could pull it off.
She pulled out her mascara and held the brush against her skin until it ran. After doing that, she runbbed her face vigorously until it turned red. Then she grabbed a leaf from the tree and pushed it towards her eyes until they watered enough to make her cheeks wet.
Not nearly good enough by Blues usual stadard, but it'd have to do. She kneeled down and started to make sobbing noises on the ground.

Kat paused for a moment, listening. "What's that sound? It sounds like someone crying," she said.

Sai opened it more and obviously made a bit of a noise but he watched her from there, he didn't expect her to notice with the state she was in.
