"no problem," she said. "Pick a cave," Pride ducked into one of the bigger ones and said "I call this one!" and laughed.

Pride looked out to see which she picked. "Awesome!" she called. "But mines bigger!" she laughed.

Jane exited her cave. "Ima go look for some wood for a fire and some grass for a bed, you comin with?" she asked.

Max nodded enthusiastically. She ran from her cave, coming over to Pride until she tripped. "Ow," she whimpered. Her palms were bloody and her knees weren't any better. The knees of her pants were torn. She tried to push herself to her feet, but she stopped. The pressure on her hands was too much.

Jane started walking, stopping every now and then to rip moss off a tree or pick up a dry branch that had fallen. "Ugh what reeks?" she asked after a few minutes, smelling a sickly sweet smell.

Pride turned, following the smell a couple feet before she said "Ugh, gross! Max, don't look!" It was another body, a man in his 30's, his head ground into a rock. His flesh was rotting, that was the horrible smell. Pride suddenly remembered Kanons words to her: "I have killed now three people. The other two bodies are in this forest. One of my father, and the other of a fat kid called Glutton." This must be the other body. Kanons father.
