"Are you sure?" She asked, working hard to get her already faint voice to be heard over the buzzing. She was prepared to drop it if he said it would help, but she thought she still had enough stregnth to control it...

Xavier sees the attack is about ready to fire.
"Yes Drop it! It gets its power from the one who holds it!" he attempts to shout over.
The gem begins to create a wind tunnel effect.
He then trys to say not to break it but the wind tunnel blows him back. He holds onto a tree so he doesn't blow away.

Wait... so even if I put it down... he's still risking himself when he picks it up... that settles it, She thought. She was not going to drop the staff.

The drove the bottom into the ground so it was securley in place, -this was going to take a lot out of her, and she didn't want to collapse when she was finished-, and clutched the staff so her already pale knuckles went white.
White ribbsons appeared and wrapped tightly around the gem. This time, however, they didn't immeaditley dissappear. She closed her eyes and gritted her teeth as it suddenly loked like she was being electrocuted. bright blue light was crackling around her and seemed to be causing her immense pain.
She had linked her energy with the creatures inside, and it was the creatures energy that was causing her pain. But she poured her energy into the gem, fighting the flow of energy coming at herself, each trying to overwhelm the other.
Finally the creature inside gave in, the blue light stopped and her bands dissappeared, seeping into the gem and entrapping the cold, currently powerless thing in the gem.
The winds stopped. She was leaniing on the styaff for support, but she forced herself to stand by her own will and handed him the staff. "Whatever is in your staff is subdued for now, but my power will not last fore ever. It should, however, give you a longer period without fear of the creature appearing,"

[Sparrow]

Xavier was stunned at what he'd just seen.
He takes the staff cautiously mouth agape.
"T-thanks." he says stunned.
The carnation suddenly drops all the dieing petals and grows back red. He winces for a moment then shakes his head, thinking clearly now that the evil was gone.
"I'm back I say, this happy day, thank you well." he says sounding like his normal self.
He smiles at Kari.
"Are you okay, I ask to say?" he asks worried, offering her a hand if she needs it.

She smiled at him, shaking her head. "I'm alright," she assured him. The truth of this statement depended on your definition of 'alright', There was nothing wrong with her that time couldn't heal. Are you three okay?" she asked of Nitrina, Xavier and K-9.

[Raven]

"Yep," K-9 affirmed. "I'm quite alright."

[Sparrow]

Xavier nodded, "I'm quite alright." he says cheerfully, dusting off his hat.
Nitrina flies down and lands next to the group.
"I'm well." she says after shaking dust from her feathers.

Inside the gem the unknown one watches them. Trapped in a void where time has no effect.
"This is only a minor set back." it thinks calmly.

"Good," She smiled at them.

Far away, "Onyx" was getting very impatiet. What the heck was taking those fools so long? They weren't that far away, maybe she sshould go find them...
Suddenly she felt a peculiar powr in the air, n aincient one that was well known to her. She was surprised breifly before it suddenly stopped and became dormant again. "Oh thats a pity," she muttered. "It would be quite... entertaining to see him agaiun."

[Sparrow]

Hatter glares as the cop nibbles a doughnut.
"Enough!" he shouts, eye twitching.
He jumps up onto the cop, tackling him, and then grabs and shakes the cop by his neck collar.
"What is wrong with you?! You've be eating that stereotypical doughnut for two hours!"
He shouts glaring at him only inches from the cop’s face.
"Now are you gonna help me, or do I have to drag you along!" he says sharply, holding his wand up.

Xavier looks down the path.
"What should we do, I ask to you." he says calmly, placing his hat back on.
Nitrina lands by K-9, "Hey you still mad about the...You know?" she asks sadly.

The Unknown continues to watch the group.
"In time, in time. This world will die." he thinks quaintly.

Trees that were hit by the Gem's attack finally fall over, covered in a black powder.

She bit her lip, seeing the black powder, and went over to one of the trees, getting some of the black dust on her finger and eximining it. After a moment her eyes widened. No way, the one in the gem couldn't be...

[Sparrow]

Xavier watches Kari as she approaches a fallen tree. Worried by how she looked at the tree, he calls over to her.
"Is something wrong, what is so troublesome?" he asks.
Nitrina turns to look at the trees tilting her head to the side.

((x3 I seriously considered having the cop have a heart attack XD))
"Oh, um... What do you need help with?" the cop flustered.

K-9 glanced at Nitrina. "No. You stopped and won't do it again."

"It's nothing," she said quickly. She must've known she was a bad liar, because she added after a moment, "I'm probably overreacting,'

[Sparrow]

Hatter narrows his eyes at the cop.
“Good now you’re acting like a cop.” he says less harshly.
He jumps down to the ground and looks to the cop.
“There is a young girl lost in the forest, I need help finding her Mother, who is also lost.”
He straits his hat, “Can you help me?”

Xavier gives a puzzled stare at the answer, but then respectfully smiles knowing it was not for him to know about.
“Very well I say to well.” he replies.
Nitrina nods to K-9.

"Can you tell me what they look like?" the cop asked in reply.
