Gifted nodded and took the pen and notebook from him, setting the folded dress beside her on the bench.

[FoxTrott]

The laptop quickly booted up. The wallpaper was the default one, and all the icons looked relatively unassuming. Instead of clicking a shortcut, he typed a command into the command console, and up came a word processor.

'So,' he typed at a decent speed, 'I told you how I know, Princess.' He acted as though he was simply browsing the web.

[Gifted]

I worte a few words on the pad of paper. My writing was messy, always had been, but I didn't care.
'From Cristel? When did you meet her? How?'

[FoxTrott]

Amarinn restrained himself from remarking on Gifted's poor handwriting.

'Earlier today. I was trying to help General Walker when she came up and helped me take him to the hospital. I knew she was a gifted because she wouldn't stay out of my head.'

[Gifted]

'General Walker had to go to the hospital? What happened?' I was worried

[FoxTrott]

'Not sure, exactly. He was bleeding badly. I found him on the street. I believe it had to do with Raven's gifteds.'

[Gifted]

'Damn Kenny. Probably wanted him out of the way.'

[FoxTrott]

'And Kenny is...?' Obviously, Amarinn had not heard of the whole "rapist being Raven's fiancee" fiasco.

[Gifted]

'Raven's evilest gifted, and most likely the mastermind behind anything going on in Ravonia that has something to do with gifteds and nothing to do with Panem.' I sppecifically didn't mention his connection to Raven. I didn't trust Amarinn with that information.

[FoxTrott]

'Hm,' came Amarinn's response. He tapped on the keys without actually inputting anything in thought. 'Well, have you determined if I'm a spy or not yet? '

[Gifted]

'No'
It was the only thing I wrote. no explanation, no nothing.

[FoxTrott]

'Because, of course, I am such an unsavory character. What with my Forlian descent and obvious want to help sort out this conflict. :/' His actual expression remained neutral as he stared at the computer screen.

[Gifted]

'I told you, time. Again, they've got a shapeshifter. And Emric sure did a good job tricking me the first time around. For all I know, you could be Noah.'

[FoxTrott]

Amarinn sighed aloud. 'We may not have time if the conflict escalates...'

[Gifted]

'We already don't have time. Which is why I'm actually cooperating now rather than being paranoid and telling you to f off.' I wrote the next part on another line.
'I'm not free forever. I have to go back home eventually and Emric will get me then.'
