"Not wanting people to freak out about it? Kid, Soul magic lets people control emotions, warp personalities, control minds. This guy was relatively weak from the research I could find, all his could do was chage the memories of his victims with eye contact. And he used that to maintain a cult. A revival of Soul Magic is something to freak out about."

"Oh I knew there was something wrong, but there have been plenty of cult leaders over the course of history who led their followers without magic of any kind. I knew he was a charismatic cult leader, it took me four years to realize he was more than that."
