"Go to dinner," Maggie told her.
Colin followed eagerly. "Alright."

Heather shot a mistrustful glare at her as she slipped by and headed to dinner, angry she'd been caught at whatever the hell she was doing again.
Rick gladly took Colin up to his new room. "Well, here it is."

"Nice! It's so big," Colin said, looking around the space. "I think I'd probably get lonely now though."

"Yeah, I think I'll be hanging out around the school a lot. But right now I'm just so happy to have a room again." Rick admitted.

"Yeah, that makes sense," Colin said. "It's really nice not being on the run."

"It really is." Rick nodded.
When Mrs. Harris came back outside, Ms. Viette spoke. "She say anything this time?"

"No," Maggie responded. "Never does." She sighed. "Unfortunately."

Kasey sighed. "What does she expect us to do when she refuses to let us help her?"

"Not get in her way more than we already do, I suppose," Maggie answered. "It's clear she doesn't trust us."
"We should track down Piper before dinner," Colin said when he finished looking over Rick's room.

"Except she keeps breaking into our stuff. If she wants to skip class and ignore us fine, but every time I go to my office now I have to check to make sure nothing's been stolen ever since she showed up." Kasey said. Nothing had ever been stolen so far, but Heather wasn't very good at make sure none of the students saw her as she acted entirely alone. Thus, they almost always caught her before she was in their office any significant length of time.
"Sounds good. Where do you think she is?"

"Has anything ever been stolen?" Maggie asked calmly.
"Probably on her way to the cafeteria already," Colin said.

"Not yet. But we're not going to keep catching her forever, you know?" Kasey said. "The girl freaks me out."

Colin started to lead the way back.
"We might," Maggie said. "I don't believe she's gotten any better at it in the four months she's been here."

Rick followed, figuring Colin knew where to go. He smiled and greeted several students they passed who seemed to show interest in the new guy and clearly enjoying the attention.
"No one's completely stupid." Kasey said. "And she seems smart when she actually bothers to attend class. She's going to learn sooner or later."

"You're a people person aren't you?" Colin asked, grinning.
"Or perhaps she'll learn she shouldn't," Maggie suggested.
