Mercy was thrown, but as soon as she landed, she rolled right back to her feet, heading towards the center of the darkness, prepared to blow Joan off the face of the planet if she found her.
Kailen, on the other hand, wasn't so lucky, and hit his head when he fell. Clara recovered, but stayed at the edge where she could see.

Stephanie was thrown too, and hurt, but she got up and pulled Kailen behind a tree. "Stay out of his way." She hissed fearfully. "God I hate it when he gets like this. She's dead. She's super dead..." The noise of the fight was deafening, as trees were wripped up and the ground was torn apart as the two powerful gifteds battled back and forth.
David struggled to his feet, clearly very hurt, but still stumbled towards the fight, trying to see if he could help.

"Me too, but it's two one one. Well, three on one, but I doubt Bug will be able to do much in his state..." Despite who he grew into, Stephanie couldn't help but worry about the small child a little in that mess.

The darkness lifted. rook looked mostly fine, if a little winded, but Joan was nowhere to be found. "She got away." He growled angrily. He looked back after a moment. "You guys okay? Katrina, anyone hurt?"

"She got away?" Kailen asked, surprised.
Mercy's expression was impassive.

"David would you shut up?" Rook snapped. "Yes, she got away. Goddamn telekinetic can fly faster than I can reach. I messed her up pretty good before she went, though."
