Reunite!

Kenny stepped back. "You're going to leave here and not come back."

Honestly, Malydia had forgotten he could do that. She tried to fight it, but when she struggled, it felt like she blacked out altogether. She wouldn't be able to remember afterwards the moment when she turned around and left the building she'd run for so frantically.

[Raven]

"Malydia! Stop!" Erin grabbed at her wrist. Kenny moved to head down the hall.

[Gifted]

Malydia pulled away. Her eyes looked vacant, like she wasn't really seeing what was in front of her.

[Raven]

"Mal, stop it!" Erin insisted, but then turned to glare at kenny as he went to slip past her.
He just smiled. "And what do you plan to do all alone?"

[Gifted]

Leslie and Riley passed Malydia in the hallway. "Malydia, where are you going? Are we going the wrong way?" Riley demanded.
When Malydia ignored them, Leslie grabbed her firmly. "Malydia, we're talking to you." Then she saw the look in Malydia's eyes and her heart dropped into her stomach.
How could she have thought this was all imaginary? How could a child have imagined such a haunting emptiness that sent shivers down your spine? And yet she recognized it; she'd seen it on her friends face before. She let go of Malydias arm.
"Hey! We're talking to you!" Riley snapped.
"Riley, look at her." Leslie ordered. When Riley did, Leslie knew she saw it too - she went even whiter than she already was. "Let her go."
Undeterred, Malydia ran off to get outside.
"Wait, I have an idea." Riley pulled out her phone. It had headphones wrapped around it, and she put them in her ears. "To stop it from working on us. I have workout music."
"Good idea. I don't have anything like that, though." Leslie and Riley ran in the direction Malydia had come from.

Erin made herself invisible, and punched Kenny as hard as she could - but it was hardly anything compared to Malydia's earlier blow. She wasn't terribly strong, and she didn't have any sort of weapon. She had a little more strength from the workouts Riley had her do, but it still wasn't significant enough to cause any real damage. Kenny grabbed her, using his other senses in place of his sight and pulled her into a choke hold. The illusions started to break down as Erin clawed at his arm.

Leslie and Riley rounded the corner, and they both stopped when they saw the situation that Erin was in.
"Erin!" Riley looked visibly terrified. Leslie was scared too, but she had the good sense to keep it off her face.

[Raven]

Kenny's eyes flicked over his shoulder towards where the illusion Riley and Leslie had faded out of existence. "Well. How nice. Have you gotten the other two yet? Or do you intend to do this on your own?"

[Gifted]

"They're coming. Let Erin go." Leslie's eyes were narrowed. Riley couldn't even hear the conversation.

[Raven]

Erin's eyelids fluttered, and she'd stopped struggling, simply holding onto Kenny's arm. "You back off, and I'll think about letting your friend go."

[Gifted]

"No deal." Leslie wished she had some way to plan with Riley, but Riley had noise blaring in her ears so she couldn't hear a damn thing. She appeared to be thinking hard, though, watching Erin and Kenny carefully while avoiding his eyes, just a they'd learned to do. But neither she nor Leslie knew how to use their powers well enough for a fight yet.

"Well, when she's dead we'll see if you can take me," Kenny said.

[Gifted]

"You-"
Leslie was cut off when Riley did something Leslie had not expected, and Kenny wouldn't have known any of them could do. She backflipped over them both, flipping twice and landed just close enough to Kenny that n her landing she kicked him in the back of the head, hard, before landing on her feet. She'd hoped the suddenness and the speed would catch him off guard and cause him to stagger and let go of Erin.

She got what she wished, especially since Malydia's blow hadn't entirely healed yet. Without him holding her up, Erin collapsed, but she gasped for air which was a good sign. Kenny narrowed his eyes and threw one of his shields at Riley, and one at Leslie.
