They didn't have time to meet up and practice again before Kenny made his first public move. Erin was on a tour of a research facility doing studies on various mental conditions. It wouldn't have been on Kenny's radar except for a piece of equipment they were borrowing - and while they had it, security would be reduced.
Erin was walking through one of the upper hallways when the building shook and a window near her shattered as an explosion went off. She ducked and her eyes went wide, and she crawled over to a balcony overlooking the main entrance. Fear gripped her as she saw a masked man in black, who seemed to take the air itself and throw it at the people cowering on the main floor. She shrunk back and pulled out her phone, and Malydia's piece of paper came out with it. She hastily dialed the number, hoping her old friend picked up soon.
