They made it quickly back to the Pokemon center and healed all their Pokemon. "Alright, we should probably be a little more careful." She rubbed the back of her neck.

"Yeah. I don't mind being slow and having to double back and heal a lot - that's mostly how I get stronger - but I was really worried there, that rufflet knocked out Blaze in one hit. A hit like that could have killed Spike in his state."

"That's funny. When I first lost Jet and needed to get a new starter pokemon, I actually really wanted a Pidgey at first. Those things are beasts when they evolve, and they're super common in New Bark town because we're so close to the Kanto region. But then I tried to actually imagine myself going out to a giant flock of pidgey which get pretty aggressive if you get them mad and trying to catch one with one pokeball and no pokemon and yeah, that wasn't happening."
