"Alright. Thank you anyway." Kailen hung up and started towards the place. Probably it wouldn't have worked out well anyway. He just hoped he could get to her and figure out how to use his power before she kicked him out.

He got there and the secretary noticed him. "I'm sorry sir, Miss Clark's meeting times are booked today..."

Kailen nodded to show he'd heard her, then started quietly humming the tune as he headed straight back to Stephanie's office.

"Hey, you an't just go in there!" The secretary stood up and went to call security.
Stephanie was chatting with her mother on the phone with her mother when Kailen walked in. "Oh, hang on," She frowned and looked over, confused and shocked Kailen got in. She held the phone away from her face. "What are you doing here?"

At first, it seemed like Stephanie just disappeared. But after looking around, it was clear the office he was standing in could not be the same. It was much cleaner, with no work littering the desk, and everything shone. There were awards on the wall with Stephanie's smiling, professional face, but they didn't say what she'd won them for and they hadn't been in the real office. The largest change though, was that the room was slightly larger, with a bookshelf against one wall. On that bookshelf was the smiling pictures of other professional looking people. To an untrained eye there was no rhyme or reason to the order, but it sure looked like they'd been placed in their spots deliberately, especially considering some faces appeared twice or even three times.
On the spotless desk was a gadget Kailen hadn't seen Stephanie use before - a silver teardrop shaped remote with only three buttons: A power button, and two arrows. It also had a little red light at the small end of it showing that it was on.
