The Betting Ring

[Raven]

Mia leaned back and kicked at his face, getting blood everywhere. "You made a tactical error, my dear," she snarled.

Kailen froze, clinging to her desperately.

[Neon]

Anya flew gracefully and confidently. "I won't drop you~"

Niko just laughed more. "As you say, dear."

[Raven]

Kailen turned his face into her, putting it nearly in her cleavage. He was too terrified to notice. "I'll believe you when we land."

"Because on top of being a mirror, as you say," Mia kicked him back and then sat on his chest, putting her knees on his arms, making sure the knife was well out of his reach, and searching him for more weapons. She leaned close to check his back. "I'm also a serial killer's daughter."

[Neon]

Anya just held on tightly, laughing. They went to the bottom and she landed neatly. "All better now?"

Nicholas laughed some more. "My lucky day then."

[Raven]

Kailen slowly let her go, swaying unsteadily on his feet. "A bit."

"Here's the deal: Since I could kill you right now and be rid of you, you owe me. I'm going to take your knife and leave, and if we ever see each other again, you're going to use that lovely power on me some more and we'll see if I'm feeling generous enough to let you live a second time. Got it?"

[Neon]

Anya smiled. "I didn't drop you. Now, are you hurt anywhere?"

Eryk smirked. "Fine by me. Perhaps we should have a strategy, though."

Nicholas chuckled. "Whatever you say doll."

[Raven]

Mia poured a good deal of the remaining stored up power into him, then grabbed the knife and started off, checking to make sure he wasn't following. She was going to have to find a healer.

"No, I'm fine," Kailen answered.

[Neon]

Anya nodded. "Good. I'm a healer, so if you do get hurt let me know."

Nicholas just sat there giggling like an idiot.

[Raven]

Kenny had managed to sit by the cliffs for ten whole minutes for the sake of "strategy" but at the end of that time, he decided that strategy was boring and he was going to go find someone to cut up. He got up and headed into the trees.

Adam finally started wading up through the river, taking it slow. His shirt was already starting to dry, and he had to admit he was thankful for it, since he figured it wouldn't be pleasant to be wet at night, even if it seemed to be warm now. He saw someone up ahead and moved out of the river, edging closer.

"I will," Kailen promised. Just then a note came down for him, which had two checkmarks and a circle and read "They sought the cliffs of despair."

[Neon]

Nicholas sighed, making a splint for his leg and going to find a healer.

"What's it say?" Anya asked, very worried it would say he should kill her.

[Gifted]

Stephanie was wearing makeup again and had adjustd her clothing as much as she could to make her look for seductive, and she'd tied her hair into a bun, but she was still recognizable. She'd thought she'd seen a man in the river quite a way back, but when she got there she no longer saw Adam and assumed she'd imagined it or he was gone by now, which probably wasn't smart.

[Raven]

Kailen showed her. "I guess the check marks mean we've found two, so that would be me and you." He hoped he was right. He didn't think he could even hit the girl, let alone kill her. The thought made him sick.

Adam was not gone, and when he saw Stephanie, he stepped out of the trees. "Stephanie?" he asked.

[Gifted]

Stephanie whipped around in alarm and visibly sighed when she saw who it was, momentarily relieved. "Mr. Belacqua!" She ran over with a smile and then suddenly realized what him being here meant. "Oh my god, you're stuck in here too?"

[Raven]

"Yeah. Are you alright? You aren't hurt?" Adam asked. That worried him. They were taking kids younger than his son and sticking them in here, and someone he knew.

"No, I'm not, I've only met one other person." Stephanie was worried this'd been done on purpose. Would there be other people she cared about here? Or worse, her actual family? She'd never win against her family in anything, and she couldn't kill the Belcaquas....
