"Well why don't you suggest to my mom that we go shopping?" Kailen asked, poking his head in. "I'm sure we can come up with a reason, and it's not like she'll complain about me having presentable clothing." He still tossed a couple of his band shirts in his bag.

"Absolutely!" Stephanie joked. Isobel drove them to the mall and gave Kailen $200 for new clothes.
"Have fun, you two!" She smiled, glad to see Kailen was taking responsibility for himself again.
"We will!" Stephanie waved and went into the mall.

Kailen waved to his mother and followed Stephanie. "Okay, so I know nothing about this, really, you lead the way." He smiled nervously, holding the money in his hand in his jacket pocket. This much money wasn't something he cared to take any chances with, and he didn't want to wander around with it without knowing where he was going.

"You can count on me." Stephanie agreed. She led him around some of the nicer stores and found him some button up shirts, a suit jacket, some plain coloured t-shirts, pants that weren't jeans, a tie... just anything that a) he didn't completely hate and b) didn't make him look like a stereotype. She insisted on the suit and tie, though. "Rick worked for the government, so that means to effectively watch him, we might have to get into the building. We have to look the part."

It took two hours for them to spend the whole two hundred, but they didn't have too much to fit into his bag. "Alright, let's go to your place now, alright?" He was still carrying both bags, his now clearly full.
