Time Travel - Fixing the Future

"Which would make me a different person, Kailen. Maybe there'd be someone else out there who looked just like me, with my name and my parents, but would that really be me? And what about you? Are we just going to ignore your parents and your sister and hope it doesn't change anything? I've never heard you parents even mention your sister. As far as I knew before today they had one child. What if she didn't leave, or... or whatever happened to her? What if we change something so she's still there? What if that prevents them from having you? Then what happens to you?"

[Raven]

"We don't have to - he's taking care of it," Kailen answered. "If changing that erased me, it would be done already, assuming he doesn't go to the future to do it."

[Gifted]

"What? No he's not! Kailen, the man we spoke too was alive an hour ago. One hour after we talked to him and he said he was tracking and attempting to kill one man in that house, and an hour later we find him shot by a man and dying in an alleyway less than ten minutes walking away. You think he went to a bunch of other times between those too? He was probably following him to kill Red like he said and got overpowered!"

[Raven]

"Well if he's doing it in this time, then it doesn't matter. It still won't effect my sister."

[Gifted]

"Well of course not, he failed! He's dead!And that''s another thing. What happens if we die in another time? They'll never find the bodies. Your parents will never get closure. Now me, I don't give a damn what my parents get or don't, but you should at least be thinking about this."

[Raven]

"They won't ever know if they're locked up either," Kailen pointed out.

[Gifted]

"How are you so calm about all of this?" Stephanie demanded.

[Raven]

"What will not being calm accomplish, exactly?" Kailen questioned, looking at her. "There's a really easy way to figure out whether or not we want to do this."

[Gifted]

"Oh yeah? And what's that?"

[Raven]

"We go forward in time," Kailen reminded her. "We can figure out whether or not we're willing to let that happen, after we see it first hand."

[Gifted]

"Is... is that even allowed? I thought the rings only went backwards? And do you really think it's any safer anyway?" Stephanie sighed. "Let's just go back and deal with Rick. At least then we know who we're dealing with. After that, assuming we're not already stuck in this, we'll see."

[Raven]

"Alright then, so long as you aren't going to object anymore," Kailen said, smiling at her. "Do you want peanut butter squares first, or after we take care of him?"

[Gifted]

"Let's go with first. Maybe I'll bring one with me and if he finds us we can offer it as a peace offering." Stephanie smirked.

[Raven]

Kailen laughed. "Sounds brilliant," he said. "We have three rings left though. What are we going to do with them?" He started walking towards his house again.

"Who knows. Do you know anyone else you'd trust with something like this? I sure don't."
