"I think it will," Adam said.

Kenny shrugged. He didn't much care for the girl - and that was an understatement. She reminded him of a less fun version of Azalynn.

"Yeah, I don't like her either, but she's handy with a gun and I don't want to wait for someone else to learn the sniper rifle, so we need her." Rakel seemed to be able to tell what Kenny was thinking. "So come on, let's go."

Roseanne nodded. "Thank you Adam. This means a lot." She smiled at him.

[Raven]

Kenny sighed. "Alright. Are we sure she's awake?"

"Hey, he's my brother, I'm not going to abandon him," Adam said. "But you're welcome."

[Gifted]

Roseanne smiled. It occurred to her then that she was talking to and agreeing with Adam. And this was the most comfortable around him she'd been since she regained her memories. She laughed a little at the thought.


"No idea. Might as well check. I'll see you there. Later, Grace." Rakel disappeared.

[Raven]

"What's funny?" Adam asked, confused.

Kenny waved at Grace and followed. Kiera was, indeed, awake, and looked like she had been for a little while. Her hair was braided with neon ribbons.

"Oh, sorry, it's nothing." Roseanne blushed a little. "I'm just kind of realizing that when I was looking for help because of Kenny my first instinct was to go to you."

"Hey Kiera, how've you been?" Rakel asked.

[Raven]

Adam smiled at that. "Thank you, Roseanne. That means a lot to me."

Kiera smiled at them, seeming more genuinely calm and happy than she had been since they met her. "I've been doing well. How are you two?"
"Fine," Kenny responded.

[Gifted]

"We're doing great." Rakel answered. "You still practicing with your weapons?"

Roseanne smiled. "You're welcome I guess." She giggled.

[Raven]

"Not really," Kiera responded. "Why?"

"Have you met Jezebel?" Adam asked.

[Gifted]

"No, I hadn't seen her before today."
Mary waved. "Hey."


"You should get practicing while there's still time. I found a way we can actually go after God. I'm still working on taking down the barrier but once I do, I want to jump on the opportunity pretty quick, so I'm coming to tell everybody in advance."

[Raven]

"She's pretty great," Adam said. "We've been travelling together."

"Huh?" Kiera asked, seeming confused.

[Gifted]

"Sounds like fun." Roseanne said.
"It has been. You should come with us sometime. We've been to some of the coolest places and times." Mary said. "I saw a Metallica concert in 1986 and it was awesome."
"Adam took me to the Hanging Gardens once." Roseanne told her. "It was absolutely beautiful."

"I found a wall that's meant to be impenetrable. We think heaven is behind it. Once we break it down, we can storm heaven and finally have our revenge on God."

[Raven]

"It was beautiful," Adam agreed. "I'm glad you had fun."

"You're serious?" Kiera asked

"Dead serious." Rakel grinned. "I just came to give you a heads up."

"Why?" Kiera asked.
