Rose was taken aback. No one, save that infuriating little Saint, had ever denied him while under his influence. He stood up, and, glaring, ordered him to get out.

Mercucio winced, looking almost hurt, and fled to his and Saint's room. By the time he got there, he was trembling.

The moment he entered, Saint was in his arms, crying and apologizing for being so mean to him, and of course he was the best shapeshifter, never mind anything else, and would he please, oh please, forgive him??
