"Sounds good," Frederick said. "Meet you there in four hours?" There was a loud wailing noise suddenly, and Frederick swore. He dropped the phone and ran to try to put out the fire that had developed while he was on the phone. The wailing didn't stop.

Owen was a few minutes late. "Sorry, the factory was on the news and Tyler was home, so I had to sit there and pretend to be shocked for like ten minutes."

The waitress led them to a booth and Owen sat down, looking over the menu. When she left he didn't look up.
