[Raven]

Ryan passed Owen a black book with gold lettering that read 'The Hunger Games' on the front. "Read that one recently. It's pretty good. They have these things called 'series' where multiple books all go together in sequence, that's the first one. I'm reading the third now."

"Alright, cool," Owen said. Normally he detested reading, but he had a feeling this would be different.

[Raven]

"Have fun, don't get a paper cut," Ryan said with a smirk.

[Gifted]

"Funny." Owen said, and sat down to read.

[Raven]

Kenny sat where he could watch them both. Ryan continued to read Mockingjay.

Owen sat and read for more than two hours. He wasn't even half done when he happened to notice the time. Whoa... had he really been here that long? He hadn't even noticed.
"If I want to try to find the maps today I ought to go back now." he sighed, closing the book.

[Raven]

Ryan nodded. "You can take it if you're careful."

[Gifted]

"I can? He was surprised, he thought Ryan would want to keep the books in the library. "Thanks... don't worry, I'll keep it in the same place I keep the Sunny Walkman." He grinned. "((He's gonna call it a Sunny Walkman until someone tells him the correct way to pronounce it XD)) I'll see you when I have directions to the adresses 've got here."

"They're a bit more interesting than textbooks, right?" Ryan said and grinned. "See you later."

"A little," Owen laughed. "Later, Ryan." he headed out, hopped on his hoverboard, and headed home.

Kyla stayed underground in her lab nearly all day, reading and expirimenting. She'd have to go out and make rounds for clients tomorrow, but today she wanted to be completely alone, where her family couldn't find her.

Melanie Jones was not watching where she was going. Despite the danger of flying a hoverboard while you aren't looking, she was riding and wiping her eyes furiously. She never stopped to think that she might get horrendously lost, or even that she might run into a tree (or another boarder). She just knew that she wasn't stopping, and she wasn't going back. Of course, the chances that she would just be allowed to run away were hovering deep in the negatives. She was wearing the most covering clothing she owned, but she still shivered at the wind her ride was creating.

At some point during the day, Ryan decided he was very bored. Leaving his siblings in their own care, he took off into McDonalds and the coast. Maybe he could talk to that girl again.

Owen flew with the book hidded uner his shirt and tucked under one arm, and the files he'd shown Ryan tucked under the other. He saw Melanie coming, but figured since he had the right of way she'd just move to the right side of the road to pass him, not realising she could barely see where she was going.

Kyla wasn't above ground, but the tide was out, and the beach was deserted. (So Ryan could go down the trapdoor if he wanted too)

Melanie did not move out of the way for two main reasons: 1) she didn't realize there was another rider and 2) she didn't realize she was on the "wrong" side of the road. She put on a burst of speed because of her tearful anger and was hardly a foot away before she realized someone else was there. She moved to try to evade him, but her board clipped his and she was dumped onto him.

Ryan found the trap door with little difficulty and called inside. "Anybody home?"

[Gifted]

Owen was sent tumbling off his board. As soon as the rope on the end of the ankle-safety thing was pulled straight, the board froze and he was suddenly hovering, just barely avoided smashing his head into concrete. After a minute it sdropped him, and he sustained no injury. So that was what that stupid ankle braclet-thing was for... "Ever learn to board?" He snapped angrily, getting up.

"I'm sorry," Melanie whispered. "I-I wasn't paying attention."
