Lost Island and Human Testing

"Just Vixie," Pride told her.

Emily's expression turned visibly relieved. "Okay... Are you okay?" she asked Mary.

Mary nodded curtly. "I'm fine, the test freaked the sh*t out of Susie. She's to delicate for this crap, and she knows it. I'll be around a lot more thans normal. Honestly, I wasn't exactly thrilled either, that chick's phsychotic. She makes me look normal. I'm Mary, in case Suz and Hil never told you," she aadded at the end, unable to recall if they'd been told her name while she'd been listening.

Emily nodded. "I didn't hear you. Not like the others. I figured you would be pretty much okay, but I still wanted to check..." She shivered slightly. "What did she make you do?"

Prides eyes narrowed, she didn't like Mary. Not at all.

"A screwed up...obstacle course? Maze? I don't know. She forced us to drink some liquid, and then she threw us into this maze thing with all this fire at the beginning... I navigated a couple of turns by throwing stuff and checking if it hit anything but at one point I ran out of stuff to throw. I turned down one hallway and the floor gave out and I was hanging on the edge, but Hailey's an acrobat so she took over and got us out of that, then I had to complete a bunch of stupid puzzles and then it was over,"

Emily smiled slightly. "I'm glad you're all okay, at least."

[Gifted]

Mary just nodded.

[Raven]

Emily walked away. It was late that night before she relaxed. None of the other subjects had been taken for the rest of the day. Emily figured Tabitha must be distracted with Mr. Murder, or whatever his name had been. She went back to her room and crawled into bed.

Mary didn't sleep that night. She spent the night pulling nails out of the bed and creating a crude and small, but effective weapon. She knew when Tabitha brought her downstairs would be her best chance of escaping.

Pride on the other hand, did sleep well that night and woke early the next morning, this time being careful not to get her legs tangleds in the blanket again.

Emily woke up before the sun rose, but stayed in bed until long after she heard the girls wake up.

Vixie slept late. She clearly wasn't frightened by the scientists.

Pride just went back to the TV when there was nothing to do in her room, flipping through the channels and again finding nothing on. "This is pointless"

[Raven]

Emily got up and left her room just as a man she'd never seen before walked in. She looked at him and frowned. "Will you show me where I might find Ms. De Buren?" he asked, a cocky smirk accented his features.
"I don't know where she is," Emily answered honestly. "Pride!" she called.

Pride looked up at Emily."No idea where Vixie is. Probably still in her room. Don't go in Mary's room though, she'll probably sic you with her new evil contraption,"
((Poor pride. She thinks she's joking))

[Raven]

The man didn't appear amused. Then Vixie walked into the room, yawning. "Did someone call me?" she asked.
"Wonderful for you to join us, Ms. De Buren," he said.
It took Vixie a moment to figure out he was talking to her. And even then, it was more that she was the only one who had just entered the room, and he was looking at her. She shrugged. "Everyone needs sleep. I just happen to want more of it." She yawned again.
It was becoming obvious that this man wasn't easily amused. "Would you be so kind as to come with me?" he asked.
"No," Vixie replied, laughing slightly. "I like it here, I have no plan to leave."
Emily looked at the girl with wide eyes.

Pride smirked. If this guy was a scientist they would've just moved him from the other room. Shame they couldn't have sent Mr. Pushover back. It was nice to see someone else willing to get lippy with the scientists, though.
