"I saw someone jumped out a window and headed this direction... Was that you? Have you seen anyone else around here?" Tristan asked.
Katrisha was just glad he wasn't on the stairs, but if he hadn't seen her... If he'd seen that dumb girl, she was still caught. Almost at the top of the stairs, she groaned. This was going to be difficult. Not only would she have to watch for the guard, but Tristan as well.

"Yeah," I suddenly decided it was okay to tell him. "She took advantage of crazy girl and I'm now stalking her. She can't see me, it's a gifted thing, but don't draw attention to me kay? I need to catch up to her. I'll tell you what I discover later," with that she quickened her pace until Katrisha was in sight again.

Tristan frowned, then walked started back to the castle while Katrisha crouched out of sight, waiting for the guard to pass.

Trisha whispered "Thanks," in Tristans general direction and then rushed quickly but quietly up until she was right behind Katrisha. The girl obviously knew how to sneak past the guards, wheras Trisha relied on Jack far too much. She'd just copy Katrisha when it came to sneaking past guards who could see her.

The guard frowned, but shook his head and continued his patrol. Katrisha looked along the wall in either direction, making sure no one was within sight, then dashed to the other side, jumping the wall and landing once again in a crouch. She straightened slightly and headed for the trees near the wall.

Trisha cursed inwardly. She had a little boy in her arms! she couldn't do that! She ran up to the wall, placed Jack on top of it, hoisted herself up, then jumped down before grabbing him off the wall. Then she got bnervous. For the breif time she hadn't held Jack, Katrisha could've noticed her.

Katrisha hadn't been looking. She was too focused on her goal. She headed through the trees until she saw the path, she didn't step onto it, but she walked through the trees next to it, keeping it in sight.

Jack gave a tiny moan. Good, he was waking up. "Wake up my buddy," she said in a quiet singsong voiceas she continued to follow katrisha. she committed the path to memory.

Katrisha's pace remained the same as she walked through the trees, after a while, she stepped onto the path, continuing past the sign that directed them either to the Castle of Darkness or of 'light'.

Trisha was very confused. Was Katrisha going to the other castle? Well, Jack was quiet awake now. She leaned closer to Jack. "I wish I had some way to contact Tristan and tell him whats going on." A paper and pencil appeared out of nowhere and a pigeon, quite tame, flew down to her shoulder. Pleasently surprised, she wrote To Tristan, I have been following a mute girl and we appear to be going to the other castle. Cathy found her in the dungeons. Take whatever action you see fit Trisha and tied it to the pigeons leg. The pigeon flew back the way they'd come to find Tristan.

Tristan had stopped in the courtyard, resting in the shade of a tree. When he read the message he frowned, then raced to go get Adam.
"Katrisha's escaped," Tristan exclaimed, handing the message to Luke. Luke nodded, then handed the message to Adam, who stood next to him. "It's crucial that she doesn't reach Crow's fortress. Try sending a message back to Trisha," Adam instructed Tristan. "I think the bird flew away... She sent the message by pigeon," Tristan replied. Adam nodded. "Go get your brother, then."
Katrisha was walking faster, trying to get to the fortress before Adam's men came looking for her. She was certain it was coming.

Trisha was a little worried how Katrisha kept moving faster and looking over her shoulder. She seemed much more edgy than she'd been in the palace. When the pidgeon flew back and landed on her shoulder with no message she was even more worried.

Katrisha saw the sign, the pit in front of it newly covered. Luckily, she knew where the trap was and gave it a wide birth, jogging up to the cutlass guarding the entrance to the courtyard. The guards spotted her and raised it hastily. Katrisha stepped into the courtyard, pausing for a moment to catch her breath.

"I wish that guarddidn't see me either," she said quickly, walking around the trap and running into the court yard. She hastily wrote a note. We're in the courtyard. If this girl is a criminal or something -considering she was in the dungeon that seems likely- I suggest you work fast. Trisha "Deliver as fast as you can," she said to the pidgeon, tying the message to it. The pigeon flew off and soon arrived, very tired, at the castle and went to find Tristan.

Tristan, Zach, and Luke were all just about to head out. "Another message," Tristan said, reading it quickly. "They're already there," he told the others. Luke and Zach exchanged glances. Too late now, get out of there. -Tristan he scrawled, attaching the message to the birds leg.
