Massacre 22 vs 22 Raven & Gifted

Maverick awoke at the scream. What was that? he asked, annoyed.
Sorry boss. the girl... Darrien was alarmed.
Oh... I'd say you can let her in but it's a little late now.

[Raven]

Kenny was out in an instant. "What are you doing out here? It's chilly..." He carried her inside, not really looking for an answer. She'd woken everyone else too, though, and a lot of them were wondering.
"I wanted to look at the stars, daddy, and the mean dolly wouldn't let me inside." Gabby gave an exaggerated pout like a spoiled brat.

"I was told not to let anyone try to sneak inside..." Darrien said, giving a pouty face as well like an adorable child.

[Raven]

Gabby stuck her tongue out at him. "I wasn't sneaking, duh."

[Gifted]

"You were trying not to be heard.. that's sneaking." Darrien replied.
"Because she didn't want to wake anyone up, Darrien." Maverick was standing in the doorway, looking disdainfully down at his doll. 'You know why I use Claressa more than you? She has learned common sense so it's so much less effort to explain these things to her. Darrien, you're done."
"Awww...." Darrien pouted as he turned back into a doll.
"I'm sorry about him" Maverick said.

[Raven]

"It's alright," Kenny started, but Gabby interrupted.
"Daddy I'm tired," she announced.
Kenny smiled at her. "I'm sorry she woke you all up." He took her back to bed.

Maverick sighed and went back to bed, dragging Darrien along with him.

[Raven]

Everyone grumbled as they went back to bed, but they went. Unfortunately, no one thought about going to guard.

Maverick noticed. He went to fetch his other doll from under the bed. "Claressa."
She grew up and came to life.
"You needed me, sir?"
"Go tell the other team all I want them to know. If people are awake when you're finished, don't return, hide in the forest and don't let yourself be seen."
"Yes sir," she left quickly. She spoke to Sharie that night, and told Sharie pretty much everything Xander already knew. It was getting light when she finished, so Claressa confined herself to the forest, climbing into a tree and concealing herself among the leaves.

The next morning, it was agreed that they should send out scouts to see what the area was like. Isaiah, Ryu, and Rowan all offered to go.

Maverick offered to send Darrien as well.

Meanwhile, people at the otherbase woke up to the smell of breakfst. Joan had awoken obcenely early, as per usual, and made them all some eggs and bacon for breakfast. After eating they discussed which groups they should send out as scouts. Anotherssue waswhen groups the three loners would go with.
"I'll take Gabriel" Xander said quickly. "And as for the the others, we can't exactly have a group of two." He adressed September and Lynn. "Do you guys mind going with Linia and Rachel?"
September shrugged.

Lynn's eyes got wide as she looked at the three people she was supposed to be teamed with. She seemed to be genuinely frightened of them, though she did seem the type to be frightened of her own shadow. She didn't object, but she clearly didn't like it.
Gabriel, on the other hand, smiled at the offer.

"Don't worry" Rachel said, smiling and extending her hand. "We'll have some fun together. Lynn, right?"

[Raven]

Lynn, seeming comforted that not all her teammates were aliens, took the hand. "Yes," she confirmed her name.

"Rachel, and this is y bes friend Linia." She replied.
"Hey, guys don't you think we ought to get the lay of the land before a battle starts?" Linia pointed out.
"Sure," Rachel laughed. "You wanna go scout out the land, Lynn?"

"Hey Xander, how about I head out and see what we've got for land?" Olivia asked.
"Works for me." Xander shrugged."
"...Hey Olive. Wouldn'tkeep that info all to yourself, wouldja?" Emeric asked in a joking tone.
Olivia rolled her eyes. "I'll tell you guys too..."
"I'll head out for us." Dominic offered to his group of eight. Rakel nodded.
"You're the most likely to survive an ambush."
