Chi's mind was buzzing with feed from the spider. There wasn't anything she felt she could do. Only watch and read its thoughts as it moved. Testing them. Her first thought was that he would try to get to her first, seeing that she was clearly weakest. Now he is trying to find a way to remove Vincent. The second he get Vincent away from her is when he will attack. Unable to fully concentrate and think with a piece of rough cloth wrapped around her face she removes the blind fold. The beast looks more horrible in color and detail. As she stairs, little dose she know, a visible change had taken place. Her once soft mint green eye as turned into a sort of, aqua color. A blood red ring was also visible between the outer edges of her iris and her pupil. Jack eyed her as he moved. She could sense he was about to attack. With out a second to spare, she pushed Vincent out of the way just in time to be pined to the wall by Jacks more human limbs. Though frightened she only stared, emptily. She could see the poison dripping from his mouth, his breath reeked of dead bodies. She seemed to make no attempt to fight back. Everyone who was watching instantly froze, their eyes glued to the screens.

The two scientist that released Jack watch the screen in silence, frozen.
Jack had gotten one against the wall, he would of gotten both if Chi didn't shove Vincent out of the way last second. He glares coldly at her, slightly hesitant to finish her off as it was strange for her to not attack, or in the least defend. Wrong... passes through his mind during his hesitation.
Vincent hadn't expected a hit from behind and was knocked to the ground several feet away. Ow... As he tries to get up he finds that he can't. A flood of confusion overcomes him with the simple act of attempting to sit up. In reaction he stays down. It felt like his mind, or at least part of it, had been knocked out of his body. He felt something else, like it was trying to find its way back. The confusion of seeing from two view points, his own and whatever this feeling was, keeps him from moving. In response he shuts his eyes, but he can still see. In fact this vision was sharper then his own, picking up on some form of strange pale light. If that wasn't odd enough, he could see himself on the ground with Chi pinned by the creature. His out of body view point was low to the ground, everything looked bigger, like he was seeing from an ant's or fly's perspective. It wasn't though. It was nothing visible to the common eye. The heck... Wanting to help Chi more then solve his question he concentrates on bringing the lost mental fragment back. Instead however it goes upward, changing his perspective. It is now well above the group, and its distance makes him feel air sick and dizzy. Luckily with a try of well placed concentration he finds it come back down to a lower elevation. It is only a few feet above and back from Jack and Chi. In this realization, he wondered what will happen, if anything, if it touched either one of them.

She gazed emptily into Jacks eyes. She could sense Vincent was alright, if not some what confused. He was awakening, maybe she could buy some time. She thought for a moment. She then continued to stare blankly ahead. Something would suddenly invade Jacks mind, breaking his thoughts and forcing him to drop her. He screamed, confused as he felt his body hurl itself head first into a wall. He did this several times until there was a large gash in his head and his nose was broken. He fell limply to the floor, panting. Chi sat up and leaned against the wall. She seemed a bit breathless, blood slowly dripped from her eye socket. Though she was the cause of what happened, she seemed surprised. All she remembered was, feeling she had entered something and that she could suddenly control parts of it. Now that jack was trying to recover she glanced over to Vincent to see if he was alright. She could sense some sort of power inside him grow. She did not sense he was in any pain, so she turned her attention to Jack who was beginning to get up.

Jack breaths heavily part due to pain and the other due to rage. He glares daggers at Chi, completely ignoring Vincent.
Vincent struggles to maintain a flight pattern that reaches over Jack. Here goes nothing. he thinks as it hovers several feet above the spider. Bombs away. The view point dives down and strikes Jack on the top of the head. Jack ducks down in response but doesn't get back up. Though it's obvious that he's still very much conscious, just confused. For Vincent as soon as the view point hit its head everything went black. It was some sort of room by the looks of it. Large and shapeless. He could here words speak themselves every here and there. Then he notices that he's standing. Just as he's trying to piece together what is happening a sharp pain hits him as Jack strikes him in the back using one of its spider legs. Vincent quickly gets up and faces Jack, Jack quickly vanishes into the shadows of the room. Now he understood... This was some sort of mental scape, and it had to be Jack's, as that's what he entered. Now a bit more worried he takes a step back, How do I get out of here? he wonders. At the end of the though Jack appeared behind him ready to strike again. This time however Vincent dodges out of the way. If only I had a newspaper. he thinks quickly. Just then a newspaper appears in his hand. He looks down to it, nearly getting swatted by a spider leg. He dodges and throws the paper, it has no effect. Jack nearly grabs him several times and succeeds on the last attempt. Keeping a firm grip on Vincent, Jack gets ready to deliver a toxic bite. Just before he can however a canister of Raid appears in Vincent's hand, which Vincent then uses to spray him in the face and mouth. Jack releases him and curls into a defensive ball hacking and coughing violently. Vincent stands then feels a strange pull, like a rubber band straining to pull him back, before he knows it BAM, he's back in his body off the mental plain. Then a splitting headache hits him, he curls into a ball to calm it as it begins to fade, pain where mental Jack had stuck him feels as real as anything. Jack has a similar response, coughing and hacking in a tight ball to the point of spitting out blood, like he had inhaled something toxic.

Chi stairs in confusion for a moment before realizing what was going on. She looks at Vincent worriedly, then at jack, who seems a bit bewildered and dazed. Sensing Vincent return to his body she quickly launches another attack. the ring in her eye begins glow, and as if from no where, out of the nothing shards of condensed psychic power fly through the air, implanting them selves into jacks back. They look like pieces of broken glass. Suddenly, one of his legs would turn black and then break into small particles, the smell of ash now filling the air. The ring seemed to glow stronger now. Still tired from the first attack, she quickly stops. her skull began aching again, her vision became fogged. Had she used too much? She wondered, trying to get her self under control. She couldn't afford to let herself faint, not now. She quickly shook her head, trying to snap out of the haze. In the control room, mouths were hanging open, what just happened? They stared at the screens, no one seemed to be moving much, but apparently they could do damage from where they were. They quickly took notes, reporting about what had just taken place, promising copies of the footage.

Jack shrieks from all that is going on. Instinctively he begins to back away. Though he didn't want to retreat. In a split moment of concentration though the staggering pain he looks to Chi, and sprays a fine web from his mouth in attempt to trip her up. He turns to do the same to Vincent.
Vincent forces himself up and turns just before the web is to be sprayed, and side steps out of its path. However his speed in doing so was much faster then normal. He glares at Jack then notices something. A feeling. Like Jack's heath was nearing dangerously low levels. He sensed something else, a weakness maybe. In his mind. Still in much pain from last time Vincent concentrates, attempting to reuse the last attack. He and Jack freeze as their minds relink, somewhat differently from last time. This time Vince finds himself in a room, it looks like a basement with a desk covered in candle making supplies. ... What the? he starts to question, then someone walks down the stairs. It appeared to be a very normal version of Jack. This Jack ignores Vincent completely and goes to sit at the desk. He appears to be reading over a list of some type. After a moment he stands and walks over to a high shelf still holding the list. He looks to the top shelf and takes a ladder from the wall and sets it up, then climbs to the top shelf. Vincent watches confused as to what this all is... Could it be a memory? A memory of what?... Jack looks over the list once more then looks to a can on the top shelf, "There's the blasted thing. Why do I put it up here?" Jack asks himself. Then reaches for the can, grabbing an invisible web along with it. Just as he lets go a black widow drops onto his hand, defending its home. In panic he pulls back losing his balance and falls off the ladder. He hits his head on the desk during the fall and doesn't get up afterward. Silence as the spider skitters across the floor avoiding the developing pool of blood, only to be caught and also down. Vincent places a shocked hand over his mouth during all this. It was a memory... The scene fades out then starts to replay from the beginning. A memory of how he died... He looked to the list on the desk that memory Jack hadn't taken up yet. Quickly he walks over and reads it.
Dear Maxwell, Please if you would, make a special candle for Sarah. One of the ones you give her each year for Christmas. The ones that change the flames color and crackle as they burn. The doctor says she doesn't have much time left. That she'd need a miracle... Please come if you can manage. She misses you dearly. ~ Maryann
Vincent stares at the letter for a long moment. Jack... Or Maxwell, was just here for the same reason Chi and him were here. He had a family, a career, and a life. He takes a mental snapshot of the letter, then pulls out, breaking the mental link. The headache returns with new vigor. This time Jack seems to feel it as well, though he quickly shakes it off.

The web dosn`t seem to reach her. It hits something infront of her and then falls to the floor. Chi summons more power to launch an attack and finish the beast off, but quickly stopped, sensing that Vincent had entered his mind again. She panted, blood dripping down her neck from the eye socket. Her pupil widened alittle, catching something. Images, but from who? They were foggy, had they been directly from the scorce, they woulnd`t be. Was she reading Vincents mind? The link ended, forcing her out. She looked at the two, both seemed confused. Both seemd to be in some sort of pain. She felt sick, her vision now completely bured. "Thats enough." said one of the men in the control room. He pushed a button and Chi´s elevatore decneded, two men in white entering the maze. The door to Jack´s cage reopned, siganling the fight was over and that he was being told to leave. Vincent Elevatore also decended the door opening for him to enter. The walls in between them and the levatores went down into the floor. The two men grabbed Chi, she was unresponcive, her eye closed. "Is it dead?" one asked "No, just exausted." said the other.

Seeing that the walls had dropped Jack quickly turns to his cell and flees into it, still in great pain.
Vincent shakes his head to free himself of his confusion. When he becomes focused he sees that Chi is being taken to her elevator. He looked over his shoulder and saw people in white coming for him as well from the elevator he got here by. They slow as they approach, one holding a dog stick in hand the kind with the wire they lasso around a dog's neck to hold it back. He glares but does nothing. "Go on get moving." the one with the dog stick warns, more then ready to use it. The headache still had a hold on him, he was much too tired and weak to try an attack or defense again. Following the order, much to the surprise of the workers, he walks to the elevator. He knows he doesn't have much of a choice.
"Well that was...... Interesting..." the younger scientist says, still watching the screen. "Indeed." the other replies, folding his hands together in thought.

They dragged her away. The elevator doors close and they go up. They then take her to the lab, along with a copy of the footage from before. They ether on the room and set her on the table, quickly they set about sticking wires and tubs into her arms, turning things on, and taking notes. One of them sighs, "This one seems to be more of a liability." he said "Why is that?" "Every time it uses it's powers, blood comes from this eye socket. Unlike other subjects, this one has no heart so it relies completely on the nanites in the blood to keep it's organs working." "Because it has no heart to circulate the blood like normal."Yes sir and if it keeps loosing blood like this, it will loose so much that the amount left over wont be enough to keep it alive." "So to keep it alive, we will have to replenish the blood supply after every fight. Which means more serum injections." "Yes sir." The older gentlemen thought for a moment, he looks at the screen, "I'll think about. Just go on with your work" he said. The man nods and dose as he's told. They all gather around a computer screen, watching the fight with great interest. Vincent, who was brought in a little later than Chi, was being hooked to a few machines. Some of the team sit down to review the footage the men brought while one or two others asses his over all health. The two heads of the groups begin speaking. The older one, the head of team that was working on Vincent, turns to the four men in white. "Tell Windell to prepare two white rooms. Put them under tight guard. This one stays blind folded and both stay separated." he said. "For now, take these two to their cells after we've finished testing"

Vincent watches the scientist in authority cautiously. What was a white room? More importantly why would they be kept separate? Were they afraid of something?.... Besides superpowered zombies.... He glances to one of the machines he's hooked up too, he glares at it for a moment wanting it to shut off, then it shuts off seemingly on its own. Surprised he looks away. Had he done that? Or was it coincidence? The machine is in no way damaged, it's only shut off and can be turned back on with no problems.

One of the two scientists that were standing near by looks up at the sound of something powering down. The screen he had been looking at was now black. He looks at it closely, it didn't look damaged. He pushes the power button and just like nothing had happened, it turned right on. "Odd..." he mutters to himself. After a moment he returns to his work. "Take it to it's cell. Were finished for now." he said, Putting the clip board down and taking the wires out of Vincent's arm. The men who had brought him in nod and tun to take Vincent away, one of them hand cuffing him. obviously they didn't trust him with out them. Obviously they don't know it wont do much good. They take him away and put him in his cell. Pushing him in, they quickly close the door behind him scurrying down the hall. It was much colder now, judging by the dim light, it was getting dark out. It would be several hours before Chi was brouht in. Dumping her in her cell he walks off, complaining about how he was given the task to carry her around. She groaned, still feeling a bit sick from before. She pushed her self up and crawled to the far side, leaning against the cold wall. They had blind folded her again. She sighed, propping her head back. It was dark, the only lights were ceiling lamps that hung over the hall way. Her body hurt, her head hurt even more. She looked over at the cell cross form hers, "Dose your head hurt still?" she asked, remembering what had happened before.

Vincent had moved to and sat down in the exact center of his cell after they shoved him in. He looks up once he hears Chi's voice. Thank goodness she seemed to be at least semi okay. He still had the headache, though it had lessened to a minor annoyance. He smiles and shrugs. I've been better, but I can't complain. he thinks. This was somewhat true. He could complain, but what would the point be, plus things could be worse... He tilts his head to her, as a way of asking if she was okay. Though I wish I could just ask. Wonder if this muteness will ever go away... he thinks after a moment.

She smiled, weakly. Her head tilts to the side, leaning against the wall. "What do you suppose they'll do to us now that our powers have awakened? she asked, using her mind to speak. To tired to say anything out loud. She shifts and pulls her knee to her chest. Cold. Ice was forming on the bars, frost on everything else. Her skin had a blue tint to it and her breath was visible. There were no windows, there didn't seem to be any air conditioning vents. Why as it so cold?

Vincent notices the dropping temperature and shivers. He looks down to the concrete floor and sees something odd. Several drops of blood, fallen from his throat wound, frozen on the floor. Blood takes longer to freeze then water, that must mean the temperature was falling below zero. He looks up, not noticing any conditioner ducts. Why was it so cold in here? There had to be a reason. If the temperature is falling that means something is effecting it. But if it's not air conditioning then what could it be? ... Could it be the environment? Or the building itself? he runs over these thoughts as he stays seated.

"I think it's coming form the out side. These walls are not insulated so there isn't anything stopping the cold from coming in" she said, shivering violently. Frost forming on her bare bones. She quickly whips it off, only to have it form again. It was beginning to hurt. Just then a door on the far side opens. several foot steps come down the hall. "Get em out of here." said one of the men as the others unlocked the cages. Two other man stood behind them, holding cattle prods. "Get up." he said, throwing a crutch at her feet. The other man with a cattle prod tapped the walls with it, little blue sparks visible in the darkness. "Get moving." he growled, obviously willing to use it. Chi picked up the crutch, quickly hobbling out of her cell. He pushed her, "Hurry up" he said, obviously not tolerating the cold too well, despite the super thick jacket. "This one goes to room four, the other to room 20 in the other hall." said the one with a clip board. "Put these one them, if they attack this will stop them" he said handing the two men who had opened the cells two silver collars which they clipped onto the necks of Chi and Vincent. Chi, hating the feel of the biting cold metal on her already icy skin. She tried to bite his hand, which was on her shoulder. Instantly little sparks appeared on the collar, giving her a nice zap. She fell to the floor, giving a small cry. She looked up at the man who put it on her, glaring at him through the blind fold. He grabbed her and yanked her up, pushing her forward. She caught her self, holding tightly to the crutch. Wishing she could beat him with it. "Walk" he ordered. She hung her head low, doing as she was told. "This way." said the man holding Vincents arm, after hand cuffing him and and began leading him in the opposite direction.
