Okay now it was obvious, even without Seven's unique ability. Kat was hiding something. hen he remembered when he'd pressed Teale for info about when she'd run into their dad. Kat had been sharing information with some guy. Whammys wern't usually that stupid. Maybe they were more than just friends... or headed in that direction...
That was it. He was sure he had it. She was romantically involved with someone outside Whammy house. And she must have just made some sort of move with him. And she knew he'd find out, so she was trying to avoid him. And it must be akwrd sharing a room with an obnoxious guy after you've kissed another guy or something worse.
Taking great care and using all his training, he managed not to let his expression change. "Alright. Well I'll see you later then," he said as he quietly shut the door. Then he whipped out a cell phone that he almost never used and dialed Teale. "Blue get back here, it's urgent!" he snapped, the dreamy, off-in-his-own-little-world type quality in his voice completley gone. He shut the phone and went over and sat on the bed (not at his computer!) facing Velvet. Forcing himself to calm down he said. "I undertand you wanted to talk to me and Blue alone? What is it?"

[Rachel]

Velvet bit her lip slightly. "Well, it's not /urgent/," she began, slightly embarrassed. "I just wanted to ask you about the whole 'Kira' thing. Do you know if there's been any more deaths?" She hadn't heard anything in the month which had made her curious. If new Kira was like the old Kira, and if it was /really/ a Kira at all, then why hadn't he killed again. Unless of course, the police were covering it up.

"That wasn't about you, percisely," Stephen grinned, and added "Blue is worried about that as well. There have been none,"

Teale sprinted down the hallway, barely noticing Cat when she passed her. Stephen NEVER used his cell phone. he was a patient guy. so it had to be really urgent. Bursting through the door she said "What is it Ste-" then she saw Velvet. Oh crap. "Oh hey Velvet," she said in a shocked tone of voice. She'd been about to use Staphens real name! Thank heaven she'd caught herself in time.

[Rachel]

"None?" Velvet asked, shocked. "Hi, Blue." Why hasn't he killed anyone. "Damn," she muttered. And this 'Ste' guy? Great name, Blue. She smiled slightly, deep in thought.
Perhaps he was scared. He didn't actually want to kill people?

Stephen turned to Teale and said "Velvet came over to discuss the Kira case,"
"No deaths," She sighed. "I've been thinking about it all month. Is he scared to kill anyone, does he not actually exist, is he waiting for his Shinigami to show up and it hasn't yet, is he trying to remain undetectable, is there something important in his life that's sidetracking him-"

That made Stephen think of Cat and his deduction about her. A love life outside of Whamy house. Could SHE be Kira, or maybe that guy she was with? No.. that was to far of a jump this early in the game... He bit his lip.

"I could go on and on," She finished, then looked over. "Seven, what's up?" She asked him

"Theres something you guys should know about Cat," He said quietly.

[Raven]

Kat hurried to her room and was relieved to find that Rhyme had chosen to remain away for the time being. She hadn't seen him much, but she couldn't say she was disappointed about that.

[Rachel]

"About Kat?" Velvet asked. "What about her?" She tried to think of what could possibly be going on with Kat but came up with nothing. Nothing serious. And she had just... walked past the room. Maybe Seven read something. Or maybe he knew in the first place? Would he lie? Did he lie?

[Gifted]

"Oh yeah, something to do with the fact she was tottally sharing info about the investigation to an outsider?" Teale snapped. "Is there a reason for that or is she just an idiot?"

"Nobody at Whammy house's that stupid," Seven said. "But I'm afraid there is a reason. You see, after her visit earlier I am convinced she may have a romantic interest with the guy outside of Whammy house. This may have cuased her to leak information and leak more in the future,"

[Rachel]

"Oh no..." Velvet muttered. "This is bad. Do you have any idea who?" This guy could be anyone! Maybe even... No, Kat wouldn't be that stupid. Like Seven said right. But Seven also said that there was a reason. She shook her head, now frowning.

"I'm fairly sure it is the boy who Bllue saw talking to Cat a month ago, when she caught Cat revealing information. So Blue would know what he looks like but other than that, no. I'm afaid we don't know who he is," He implied a litte more in his last question, after reading Velvets face. It was a little early to be taking THAT jump, we don't even know how much this new Kira knows yet so it really could be anyone.

Teale wished she could remember his name. She was sure Cat had said it, but after all the trauma that had unfolded that day, she could no longer remember it. "So we can't discuss the case anymore with Cat," she said, expecting that to be the case.

"If we did that, she'd think we're suspicious of her being Kira. It may fource her to take drastic action," Stephen sighed at his simpleminded sister. She was a genious at formulating plans and luring information out of people but of people in general she knew absolutley nothing.

[Rachel]

Velvet was silent for a moment. "We could, perhaps, lie. Or tell her a little. Make out that our Kira has disappeared off the face of the Earth?" she asked, rubbing her hands together nervously. "But about Kat's boyfriend... I want to meet him." She knew what she was asking would be hard to put together, but she had an idea. And if worst and to worst, she could say that she was a friend of Kat's?
"Do you know where he lives?"

Stephen shook his head when he said to lie. "Kat is an extremley clever Whammy. She'd find out we were lying to her and then where would we be? Top of her suspect list as Kira, every single one of us. I guarantee it," he sighed. "We should just tell her small amounts of information when she asks, nothing more,"
Teale nodded at the secound part. "I'm prety sure I know where. I mean, I was... distracted when they came out but I think I know where they came from. I guess I could show you if you like," she felt uncomfortable telling Velvet about her father, she was tired of people knowing her last name. A quick glance at Stephen told her she was right to keep it concealed, he'd given an ever so slight nod.

[Rachel]

"That would be great, Blue!" Velvet said, smiling. "When's a good time for you?" Although Velvet wanted to leave as soon as she could, she understood that other people had lives and things to do. And he might not even be home, so she wouldn't be able to meet him, anyway. Then she realised something. "Seven," she began, not looking at anything in particular. "Are we planning on sharing the case details with her roommate. I'm thinking that he could say something to make her suspicious, or share the information with he regardless. And then again, he might not. Do we trust him?"

"I can't say for sure. I've never seen him," Seven said, sighing. "Besides, we don't even know if he's taken interest in the case. If he cares enough to ask one of us well, we will cross that bridge when we get there,"

"Maybe we should wait a few days. It might look odd if he see me again so soon," Teale added in response to Velvet's question.

[Rachel]

Velvet nodded. "Alright then. Thank you, Blue, Seven," she said with a smile, turning to the door. "I shall see you in a few days then." With this, she opened the door and slipped outside. "Don't be impatient," she muttered to herself as she headed back to her room.
