"You coward," Kanon said, smirking. Pretty sure the guy in the shell couldn't see he pulled out his lighter. Giving himself back his fire, he said "Your cravenness will be the death of you,"

He let the shell burst into flames.




Pride stood there, shocked. "Pride," Kanon said. "I thought you were here to arrest me? I am a killer. In fact, I have killed now three people. The other two bodies are in this forest. One of my father, and the other of a fat kid called Glutton. I will come down to the police station with you if you like,"

Pride nodded, not trusting herself to speak, and the two walked away.
(can you tell they arent gonna make it to the police station?)

After the two had left he quickly poked a foot out and snuffed the fire out using the dirt on the ground. He let his body go back to normal and was breathing shallowly, he tended to his wounds as best as he could there and slowly headed out for his cave where he could better treat himself.

Lust had been coming up with a plan, but that plan had given her hope. She knew she was going to regret it later, but she couldn't help it. She went to the kitchen and started digging through the drawers for a pencil and paper. When that didn't work, she went to Kanon's room. There she found what she was looking for and got to work. When she was done, she grabbed the note she'd constructed. Now I just have to make sure he gets it in a weeks time, she thought, walking out the door.

Kanon was about to attack when he saw Lust coming down the street. Crap! he couldn`t handle a two on one battle in his condition. a scrap on his cheekbone, a quill still stuck deeply in his skin, and extremley tired, Kanon just couldn`t handle it. "Hey," he muttered to Pride. "I know full well you can`t take me to a police station, so why don't we drop it?"
Pride raised her eyebrows. "I'm tottaly capable of arresting you. I'm a cop, remember?"
"If you were a cop you would've cuffed me by now Pride. Let me go right now and I won't tell anyone about that knock off badge. Or I could just beat the crapm out of you," he added

Pride shuddered. "Fine, go. But don't let me ever catch you again. Next time, it's fair game,"

"Next time, I won't be so easy to catch," he tapped her hand with his right and used her super speed to race around before Lust saw him and take the long way home.

Lust waved when Kanon came into view. She was sitting on the porch, thinking. "Hi, Kanon."

"Hey, Lorrie," he said. he hoped she didn't ask about his wounds as he jogged at normal pace up to the house. "I got back a little earlier than I thought i would," he said, and rushed into the house. Once inside he got into the bathroom, he closed the door and pressed a damp cloth to the wound on his cheek whil looking for tweezer to get the quil out of the more serious wound on his arm.

Lust frowned, then followed him inside. She knocked on the bathroom door and leaned against the wall next to it. "Are you okay?" she called, concerned.

"Uh... yeah," he said through the doo, then remembered that he had a decentstory for being in the forest. "The animal I was hunting left a few scrapes on me, I'm just cleaning the wounds," he said, finding the tweezers. He yanked wthe quill out of his arm, hissing at the pain and putting the cloth over the wound which was now frshly bleeding. His cheek looked fine, just a narrow red line. He'd spend some time resting until his arm stopped bleeding, and then train. Though he'd beaten that sin, it had been a close match. if he had to fight anyone better than that guy in his current shape he'd lose.

Lust nodded even though he couldn't see her. "Okay... I'm going to go figure out what's for dinner," she told him. "I'll bring you something."

"Thanks," he said, opening the door and heading into his room.

[Raven]

"Sure," Lust called. "It's the least I can do for you. Besides," she joked, "I don't want you gettng blood in the food." She opened the fridge and began scanning it's contense.

Kanon chuckled before catching himself. Lusts were dangerous. He couldn't let her lure him in with her tricks.
Grabbing one of the three bandages in the house -his father had always insisted he learn to cope with pain, so Band-Aids were strictly out of the question- he used it to keep the cloth stuck to his wound. then he reached into his front pocket for the key to the training room.

Where was the key? It wasn't there!

"Oh no," he groaned. "I must've dropped it in the forest!" He had a spare, but that wasn't really the point now was it?

Running out and slinging on his jacket, he said "I frgot something. I'll be back in ten minutes," and dashed out the door, barely escaping stepping on the sharp key laying on the floor which would have torn a hole in his shoe.

"Okay," Lust replied. Then something caught her eye. When she went over to investigate, she found a key. Hmmm... Was this what Kanon was looking for? It must be to that room. Actually, it could be to his safety deposit box, the house, something in the room, something he keeps hidden like a journal... Well, I'll just hope it's to that room, she thought. She went back to digging through the fridge for a minute, in case he changed his mind and came back, then took the key and went to the room. Trying the key in the lock, she discovered it fit, and it turned. The knob turned with a bit of a fight, and it was pretty hard to work the door open, almost as if something heavy were pressed up against it, or like the frame was too small. When she opened the door, her eyes widened. The walls were light colored wood, and it was lit by only a few soft lights set into the ceiling. The wood was fairly soft and splintered, or broken and hastily repaired, in several places. There was a sort of mantle on one wall, on which two candles were placed, though they looked like they had not been lit in a long time. there were two blood stains on the floor, a small streak right near the door and a larger stain near the back right hand corner. The room was larger than both bedrooms combined, but other than one corner that had been blocked off with glass walls and where the two other walls met was covered in metal sheets, there was no furniture or anything at all in the room except a deep hole filled with water in one corner, a few sticks and branches next to it, the candles on the mantle on the back wall, and a sleek, metal chair in the center of the room. The chair was mostly covered in blue cushions like a dentist office, but there were metal rods attached to the bottom of the armrests and sticking up so you would have to fit your arm between them. There were also rods reaching out around the leg area and few that cupped around the torso. There was a helmet with black glasses near the top of the chair, set of a large metal stem that extended from the back of the chair. There was a large black screen directly in front of the chair. At the top of it, in small white letters, it said "Power stimulator". There was a lot to take in, but Lust was afraid that Kanon would come back at any minute, so she stepped back out and locked the door. Then she went to her room and hid the key. If Kanon found out it was there, he might suspect she'd been in there. Finally, she went to finding and cooking food. She'd settled on spaghetti.

Running around the forset, for ten minutes, he finally sighherd. it just wasn't thwere. she'd searched every square inch (remember he still has Prides super speed) He'd have to look for it some other time. He sprinted back, stopping at the door, and opening it at normal speed. "I couldn't find it," he called. Then he smelled the food. "Smells good. What is it?"

"Spaghetti," Lust answered. She had to force herself to speak calmly and not let her voice shake. After what she'd seen, she wasn't sure what to think. "If you don't mind my asking, what were you looking for?"
