[FoxTrott]

Cautiously, they lowered their weapons, Ericken giving a slightly embarassed noise. The two were unnerved by the mechanical spider, Vince moreso than his partner.

"Er... hello," Vince replied. He slipped his gun into its holster, and folded his arms. "Our apologies for pointing the guns at you, um, FAME."

[Sparrow]

FAME un-narrows its eye and seems to loosen up its stance.
“It’s alright.... It was an understandable reaction.” it says calmly.
Blue nods in agreement, then looking to FAME asks,
“So FAME, what brings you here?”
“I detected that this vault was entered, I thought it strange it would be accessed during a power out.”
Blue seems a bit surprised.
“The power is still out?”
FAME bobs slightly as if nodding.
Blue shakes his head,
“Odd, it’s normally not out this long....”
FAME seems to blink,
“I found something, during a system scan.”
Blue looks to it,
“Really? What?”
“It appears the signal tower has blown a fuse...” it replies.
“That makes sense.” he sighs worriedly.

[FoxTrott]

"Wait," said Ericken, holding up his hands, "if the power's still out, how's FAME running...?"

"Back up generator, more than likely," Vince replied. He looked over at Blue. "Is there anything we can do to help get the power running again?"

"Whoa, back up there, cowboy, I am not doing anything else today!"

"... did you just call me cowboy?"

"That's beside the point. I just want to take a bath in some hot springs or someth--OW!"

Vince glared at Ericken, hoping the sharp nudge to Ericken's ribs got his point across. "I apologize for my partner's lack of motivation."

[Sparrow]

“It’s quite alright. He’s gone through a lot today.” Blue says in understanding.
He looks to FAME before explaining,
“The Main Lab has a backup generator, there are two many things that could..... Go wrong if the power were to go out. However the generator can only last so long.”
FAME blinks several times, before shutting its eye off.
Blue smiles slightly, seeing that FAME had shut down partly to reserve power.
“Epocheia has an, unusual source of power. It’s not the standard coal and oil like one may think...”
Notices he’s falling off topic he says,
“The fuse at the signal tower must be switched out, an electrician should be the one to do so, however the tower is not near the lab. Its behind the hotel, you’ve probably seen it. It’s the tall tower with the blinking blue light at its top.”
he sighs before continuing,
“It normally wouldn’t be a problem, but with how long security has been off, who knows what has gotten into the city? Normally Orbs would escort the electrician, but if systems shut down during this, he or she with be left to fend for themselves. I don’t know how much power the generator has left... It may or may not be wise to go check it.”

[FoxTrott]

Ericken gave a long, drawn-out groan, only to receive a glare from Vince. "What first, then?" Ericken asked in a slightly more positive tone.

"If you tell us where the generator is, we can go check it," Vince said, nervously looking up at FAME, "After that, we could report back, and escort the electrician to the tower if need be."

"I don't want to come with," Ericken whined in Forlian.

"Too bad," Vince responded in English.

[Sparrow]

“An electrician really should go along, it would ensure time wouldn’t be wasted.”
He looks to FAME again.
“If power completely goes out, it may wipe the data base, that’s worse case of course.”
He looks back to Ericken and Vince,
“The generator is set in a cage in between the four stands of the tower’s base.”
He turns to the ghost wall,
“If you really plan to go, we need to find an electrician, and I think I know just the one. Please follow me, the vault is not somewhere you want to be in the power shorts.”
He walks out into the hall.

Vince gave a final glance around the room before following the scientist out of the armory. Ericken was hot on his heels, not wanting to be left alone for a moment.

[Sparrow]

He leads them through a few halls and eventually comes to a door with a large black X painted on it. Each branch of the X connects to a corner of the door. Blue pushes open the door, revealing a staircase the goes down. The room below is dimly lit and flashes light every few seconds with an electric spark and crackle.
Blue calls down the stair case,
“Hey! Hey, are you down there?”
After a few seconds Goggles peeps around the corner and up the stairs.
“Meeeh-yes?” he replies in a singsong tone.
“Hey, the power is out because a fuse blew out at the signal tower.” Blue calls back.
“That makez sense... Much sense. The recharge haven’t arrived, that must be why.” Goggles replies, he twitches several times and his way of speaking sounds like he has been electrocuted before.
That may be why his hair is unkept, from having to deal with static in the air.
“Would you go with Ericken and Vincent to fix the fuse?” Blue calls down.
“Surez!” Goggles calls back, he disappears for a moment to grab a tool bag then runs up the stairs.
“The fuse right?” he asks swinging the tool satchel at his side.
“Yes.” Blue replies.

Vince looked at Ericken, and raised an eyebrow. This guy seemed like he was electrocuted, not an electrician.

"So to the big tower with the blinking light, right?" Ericken looked at Blue to double check the situation. "Oh!" He looked back at Goggles. "I'm Ericken, and that's Vincent, not the other way around."

[Sparrow]

“Yes.” Blue replies with a nod.
Goggles smiles at Ericken,
“Hi, may name is Hey. Don’tz know whyz, but et ez.” he replies.
He suddenly looks to a wall down the hall, seemingly staring at nothing, though this is hard to notice since his eyes are difficult to see behind the lens.

Ericken tried to determine what he was looking at, but gave up once he saw it was a wall. Vince was already walking away towards the entrance, ready to get on with the mission. Ericken made a whine-like noise and ran after Vince, waving for Hey to follow.

[Sparrow]

Blue snaps his fingers a few times to get Hey’s attention.
Hey snaps out of it and looks to him.
“They’re leaving.” Blue points to Ericken and Vince.
“Ohhhhh. Okay, Off to the tower!” he replies in singsong.
Then quickly catches up to them.
Blue shakes his head and puts a palm to his forehead then goes back down the hall.

Once outside the rain has eased up significantly, though the sky is still overcast.
In the distance, behind the building they are staying in, is the signal tower. However the light at its top is not blinking.

“Oh, lookz at that. The lightz not clicking.” Hey says pointing to the tower that seems to go beyond the cloud cover.

Vince looked up at the hotel, and wished he had the time to run to their room and grab a pack of cigarettes.

"That is way tall," Ericken said, looking up at the tower. Vince poked him to get his attention, and led the way towards the tower. Ericken glanced back at Hey to make sure he was following before walking after Vince.

[Sparrow]

Hey stares at Ericken wondering why he was looking at him, he looks behind himself to see if anything’s there before it dawns on him that Ericken was making sure he’d follow. He looks back ahead and follows after them.
“Yayz, I hope we don’t need to climb it. Poor light bulb changing guy.” he replies.
After a short while he mentions,
“Boy I hope the zoo animalz haven’t gotten out.”
He looks at the surroundings, never keeping focused on anything in particular for more then a few seconds.
He has an odd way of walking as he sways slightly side to side, almost like he hears a song that others can’t.
In the distance tipping trashcans and shrieking sounds are heard every few minutes. However even when they sound close, a street or two away, Hey doesn’t seem to be bothered by them or worried at all.

Ericken watched Hey, wondering how it was possible for someone to be that distracted. He shrugged, and continued. Vince stopped when he first heard the shrieks, causing Ericken to run into him.

"... did you hear that?"

"Of course! I'll go investigate it." Ericken would have left if Vince hadn't snagged him by the collar.

"Hold up, cowboy. Last time you went to investigate something, you were attacked by a zombie."

"Yeah, but--"

"Generator first."

Ericken looked crestfallen. "All right," and they continued towards the tower.
