[Sparrow]

Hatter turned to peer at K-9, but before he could say anything he heard a loud splash that came from outside. Jumping past K-9, he carfully trotted over to the door. Pressing his ear to the door he listened.
"Oh bother, what could that of been?" he says lowly to himself.
Opening the door to a whiskers width he peeps out.
"Hello? Is anyone there?" he asks calmly, trying his best to keep his voice from shaking.

[Raven]

K-9's ear's perked. "What was that?" She turned towards the door. She couldn't open it, though, because her paws were very bad at grasping things.

[Gifted]

"Huh?" She'd changed her voice to sound like the age she was playing. "W-w-who's there?" se called out. "I'm scared..."

[Raven]

"Sounds like a girl, Hatter. A human girl. A young one, at that," K-9 said, lifting a rear paw to scratch behind her ear. Her tongue lolled out to one side.

[Sparrow]

Hearing the small voice made Hatter uneasy. He knew that nothing was ever "as it seems" in this world. However he also knew he couldn't leave someone out in a storm. Slowly he opened the door, cold wind and rain blew into the room. Twitching his nose he peered around until he saw the girl. Carefully he exited, ready to bolt if need be.
"Hello there," he said keeping a good distance from the girl "are you alright?"
Something was indeed wrong, the sky had never been this dark and foreboding before.

[Gifted]

"I can't find my mommy," she said. "She dissappeared, and I don't recognise this place, and I'm scared... I want my mommy," She started to cry.

[Raven]

K-9 watched from inside.

[Sparrow]

Hatter walked up to the girl, still unsure.
"We'll help you find her."
he says reassuringly.
"What's your name? I go by Hatter."
he says tipping his head.
Glancing back to K-9 he wonders if he should have told her his name or not.

(side note: Sorry if there are typos or anything, I'm too tired to check. XD)

[Gifted]

"My name is Onyx," She said, looking up at Hatter.
Good, he seemed to be falling for it.

((I am babysitting at someones house and the chat doesn't seem to work here so if anyone was on at 11:42 at night, sorry I couldn't talk. ))

[Raven]

"Yx. That's fun to say!" K-9 exclaimed. "I'm called K-9." She used the girl as an excuse to come outside into the rain. She shifted her wings, wanting to use them to fly through the storm.

[Sparrow]

"Onyx? That's a nice name."
Hatter says calmly.
A loud clap of thunder causes him to fold his ears back. Looking up to the black sky then back to the girl Hatter notices that they were all getting rain soaked.
"Perhaps we'd be better off chatting inside."
he says motioning Onyx to the door. Stepping inside he shakes off, the quickly sets the table with tea for everyone.

[Raven]

"Mm, what's this??" K-9 asked, sniffing the tea. She reeled. "Doesn't smell so good..."

[Gifted]

Onyx followed Hatter inside. She looked at the tea.
"My mommy said I can't have tea because it has caffine"
And that's checkmate.

[Raven]

"What's caffeine?" K-9 asked, sitting on Onyx's feet and wagging her tail.

"Can we go home now?" Nadia whined.
Century smiled at her. "Soon. We have to make sure they won't follow us. You don't want your big brother and sisters to get hurt, do you?" she asked kindly.
Nadia yawned. "No, but I'm tired," she said. "And scared." Tears formed in her eyes.
Zach, pulled the little girl into a hug. "It'll be okay. Don't worry. Century and Katrina are here, and the rest of your family is okay. We're all safe, there's nothing to be scared about."
Katrina shot Century an I-told-you-so look. "We probably should be going now. Haven will be wondering what happened." She stood.
Century nodded, her eyes narrowing at Katrina. She straightened up. "Let's go home, Nadia," she said. Zach helped the ten-year-old to her feet, then Century hugged her and glared at Zach, who only rolled his eyes and wrapped his arm around Katrina's waist. She leaned her head on his shoulder.

About half an hour later, they had made it to the other side of the city and their home. Aura grinned when she saw them. "It's been a while, Zach."
"Yeah... It has," Zach replied, smiling slightly. Century and Haven were the only ones in the family who didn't like him. They were the two oldest. He didn't think much of it because Haven didn't like anyone, really, and Century just thought he was trying to use her little sister.
"Where have you been?!" Haven demanded.
Katrina got a story-telling face on and said sarcastically, "We were rescuing my brave price from a dragon-infested castle, didn't you hear?"
Haven sent a withering look in Katrina's direction and Century said, "Actually, we were attacked by the cult."
Haven gasped. "Are you okay??" she asked.
"Zach got a head wound," Katrina said.
"Boo hoo," Haven muttered. "Are you okay, Nadia?" she asked. Her little sister nodded.
Aura seemed a bit more inviting when she asked, "How did you get away??"
The four of them re-told the tale, including what happened to the girl who had saved them. "The sparkles were pretty," Nadia commented.
"Nadia is staying with me next time," Aura said. "She might get hurt."
Katrina rolled her eyes. "Are you not worried about your other little sister?" she asked.
Aura chuckled. "You have Zach. Frankly, the combination of you two isn't something even I would want to mess with."

[Gifted]

((Time for another DRAMATIC ENTRANCE BY THE GOOD GUY! ))

Suddenly, through a crack in the door, a wind blew a whole bunch of sparkles into the room. they swirled around in a beautiful formation before changing into the girl who rescued the siblings.
She looked horrible. Terribly pale, like her stregnth had been sapped. Her sister had regained her power so quickly after breaking free, that she had lost much of her stregnth. When she first appeared she seemed to be leaning on the wall for support, but she immeaditley pushed herself into a standing position. That alone seemed to cost her effort. "You are Emma and Joseph's children?"
