TSE Reunion

[Rachel]

"And, well... I'm me, Gifted. That's my excuse," I said. Nick rolled his eyes.

"...they're not telling the truth, are they Mia?" Jack asked as they climbed down the tree and headed towards the house. Mia sighed.
"No, Jack. Shinigami are real."
"Okay good," he said and the entered the house, walking over to stand next to me.

[FoxTrott]

Ciel had taken the manga off the shelf and started reading it while the other kids talked. It wasn't until most of them were in the house that he came back to earth. He climbed deftly down the ladder, walked inside, and positioned himself behind his mother. Vigilante was napping outside, and he didn't want to disturb the dog.

"Hey, Mom?"

"Yes, Spawn?"

"How did you meet these people?"

Fox smirked. "It was long ago. I was in the middle of a trek up Mt. Everest when I came upon--" It didn't take long for Ciel to roll his eyes and sit down. Fox couldn't help but laugh.

[Raven]

I started laughing when I heard Fox's story. "We were in school together," I told Ciel. Not all of us, but still...

[Dokeshi]

I mumbled something about utahians and smiled before speaking to Ciel," It was like a happy little family."

[Gifted]

"What? That wasn't what mom told-" Robbie protested before Cristel elbowed him in the gut. "Hey! Cristel what was that for? Mooommm, Cristel hit me!" Robbie whined.
"I did not hit you, I just elbowed you,"
"It still hurt!"

[Rachel]

"I don't remember going to school with you guys..." I said slowly, frowning.

[Sar]

After getting out of their tree house they followed the others into the house. Matt looked at James as they got into the house and said to him so Kait couldn't here "I don't think he is going to stop by today." James let out a breath and said "It's not the first time they break a promise to get back at each other."

[Gifted]

Suddenly a group of extremley recognizeable people came in, all dressed in white, carrying a huge rectangular object that they set down on sar's coffee table.
"Oh my gosh. Buddy, you've outdione yourself! It's perfect!" I cried.

It was a cake.

Not only that, it was a cake that looked exactly like a scene from Death Note when L confronted Kira for the first time. Buildings all around, the one closest building with the flatscreen with the giant L on the front, and people all milling about in front of it.
The only difference was the people. The modeling chocolate figures down in front weren't random pedestrians, but actual characters from Death Note. Light was there, extremley detailed with a corner on the Death Note sticking out of his jacket pocket. L was there too, slouched as usual. Naomi Misora was there, and Misa, and even BB with blood stains all over his shirt. Near was off to one side, a lock of hair around his fingre, and Mello was on the other, the burn on his face made to percise details.
Everyone you could think of was there: Mikami, Demegawa, Takada, Matsuda and Mogi and Ide and Mr. Yagami...

And the whole scene was behind a dark chocolate slab, like a plaque, with green lettering on it, reading "THE SHINIGAMI EYES"

[Raven]

Hope's eyes got wide when she saw the cake, after a second of looking at it, her mouth dropped open, too. "Cake," she whispered.
"THE CAKE IS A LIIIIIIEEE!" I shouted, then started laughing.

[Gifted]

((You just made my day!))
I doubled over laughing. "I.. go out of my way..." I said, gasping between laughs. "To go to New Jersey... so we can have one of Buddy's cakes today... and that's... your reaction?"

[Raven]

I grinned. "Well, laughter is the best medicine, so we had better have some of it before we eat our fill of fat," I replied, sticking my tongue out. "Besides, the characters aren't real, so the cake really IS a lie!"

[Sar]

"Oh, I thought this was all some clever way of killing me." Melissa said and then looked to her kids. The kids didn't seem to pay attention to the cake. Melissa let out a breath and said to the kids softly "He should be here anytime."

[Gifted]

"...That is going to be the lamest reaction ever on the show ever, you know that right, Melissa?" I asked, shaking my head.

[Sar]

"Sorry Rachel," Sar said, "but sometimes things are more important then cake." She then looked at Matt who started to get and evil smile and yelled out "CAKE!" and ran to the kitchen for plates and such. This cheered up the younger two even though Kait still seemed upset. As children got older you could slowly see their personalities form. Kait was just like her mother, holding in emotions but would have extreme melt downs.

[Dokeshi]

I blinked and then spoke," That is a cake." Meanwhile Kenny's eyes were fixed on it and he was essentially glued to his sister.
