"And even if you did escape? Fox, Kenny has shapeshifters, they might not even know you went missing. If you showed up and there were another one of you there, you could be arrested or worse without some way to prove you're you," Adam said.

"if it's true there's a troublemaking mind-reading gifted there, then she'd spot the truth right away," Kayla pointed out.

[Raven]

"If it's true, Raven won't believe a word she says against Kenny, let alone someone she believes is Fox," Adam snapped back.

[FoxTrott]

"Dammit!" Fox flopped down on the ground, glaring angrily up at the walls, "I'm not gonna play princess in the castle when my best friend is--gaahhhh!" She threw her head into her hands.

[Raven]

"When your best friend is what, Fox? You think I don't know?" Adam challenged. "I've been here for months with nothing to do but wonder if she's even alive, I didn't know until a few minutes ago!"

[FoxTrott]

"She's alive, woop-de-doo, do you even care about her?" Fox shot back at Adam, "If you cared about her even a tiny bit, you'd be trying to help figure this out instead of sitting there like a little whimp!" She crossed her arms, pinching the space between her eyebrows. "Even if a shifter was sent to take my place, a mind reader could figure it out, yeah, and it's not like it's easy to imitate a public figure around her good friends."

[Raven]

"Do you realize how much effect a mind reader would have on Raven? Most of them work for my brother. Most of them she tried to blow up. I'm being rational, dammit, and there is nothing at the present moment you can do!" Adam hissed.

[FoxTrott]

"You aren't being rational, you're being uselessly pessimistic!" Fox exclaimed, "I can do more than you're doing by hoping!" She looked like she was on the verge of angry tears.

[Gifted]

"Leave him alone!" Kayla yelled suddenly at fox. "He's tried all he can, it's not his fault we dileberatley made it difficult for him!" Then she blushed and looked down. She knew immeaditley her outburst was uncalled for, but she couldn't help it. She'd been there when they'd first brought Adam in. She had always been relitivley close, for some reason... she now wondered if Kenny had done it on purpose to toughen her up. It had been tortourous listening to him go through it. She couldn't stand hearing Fox now call him useless and claim he's not trying.

Adam glanced at Kayla, but just sighed and looked down, wishing he could help.

[FoxTrott]

"How'd we make it difficult for him?" she cried out, "By being ourselves? I'm sorry, you two can whine a-as much as you want, b-but I'm getting out of here!"

"That's NOT what I meant." Kayla snapped, and stood up. She grabbed Fox firmly by the shoulders. "Calm down! You're thinking irrationally, causing my power to go haywire and making me panic" She sighed, took a step back, and willed herself to calm down. "We need to think about this calmly. We're in a locked metal room with no door handle and Adam is chained to the wall. All you're going to do is burn yourself out. If we have even a miniscule chance of getting out of here, we need to think of a plan.

[FoxTrott]

Fox tensed up the moment Kayla so much as touched her. She simply nodded, tears welling up in the corners of her eyes. "S-sorry," she whined. The leader rubbed her eyes on her sleeve, taking in Kayla's words. "A-alright... do they f-feed us?"

[Raven]

"When they remember to," Adam replied, not raising his eyes from the floor.

[Gifted]

"We might be able to use that somehow... the biggest problem is getting Adam unchained. Otherwise he isn't going anywhere." Kayla bit her lip, thinking.
