[Gifted]

Kayla sighed. "My name is Kayla Winslake. Yes, Adam, I was allied with your brother for a decent period of time, because after the labs were blown up I needed a way to stay off the radar and Kenny gave me the option. I helped him until recently, when he started making diplomatic moves with that man who runs Panem, Emric. Now, I have an older brother who is closely associated with Emric. His name is Tyler Winslake. I've done evereything I can to keep him away from people I know, because he's just as bad if not worse that Kenny. Even Gifted had him on a watch list.
I told Kenny if he allied himself with Emric, and by extension, my brother, I'd run off and do everything I could to make his life miserable. He did it anyway, so I kept my promise and ran off to warn Raven of his plan. Sean caught me before I could get anywhere, beat me up pretty bad, and locked me in with you guys. I would've gotten out before then, but a gifted in Ravonia really doesn't stand a chance on her own."

[FoxTrott]

"S-so," Fox began, the full situation still not sinking in, "... we're people he wants to get rid of.... right?"

[Gifted]

"We're people he wants out of the way but doesn't want their bodies showing up, yes," Kayla confirmed.

[Raven]

"More importantly, we're the people he wants to have access to in the future. For information, probably, or to bargain with," Adam stated. "You probably know more about Panem than almost anyone Kenny has access to, I know every access code in Ravonia, Fox is someone Raven cares very much about and she knows all the world leaders..."

[Gifted]

"But Kenny would know all the world leaders by now as well, and as for someone to use as leverage over Raven, isn't that what you're for, Adam? I think her husband would be enough leverage for him to do basically whatever he wants... there's got to be another reason he wants fox...."

[Raven]

Adam set his jaw, pausing for a moment. "It was an arranged marriage," he admitted.

[FoxTrott]

"I know I don't say much, but please don't talk about me like I'm not here," Fox muttered, glancing between them. The rest of her thought was metaphorically defenestrated by Adam's words. "It was arranged? But you two looked so happy together and everything!"

[Gifted]

"Well, everyone knew that." Kayla said impatiently. "But the last little while... well most of the gifteds are beggining to doubt it. Like, I heard one of the others complainiing a few months back... apparently there's a Panemian gifted staying at the palace, a mind reader or something. Said mind reader threatened to blow the cover off the whole operation, but Raven steadfastly refused to believe anything was wrong because that would mean you're in danger."I dunno if it's true or not, because nobody ever tells me anything, but I heard it."

[Raven]

Adam focused on Fox. "I apologize, Madame. Yes, it was arranged, of course we acted for the cameras. I don't know why she requested it, though I think she hoped it would show the people that we are still doing well and give something to celebrate. The idea of Raven and Crow being together was controversial, especially in the North." It became obvious that he hadn't been brought to current events lately, or he wouldn't have brought up Raven's relationship with Crow. Then he turned back to Kayla. "Yes, well, it hurts more than helps her now, doesn't it?" He leaned his head against the wall.

[Gifted]

"Sorry," She said quietly to both of them. She lasped into silence, trying to think of a way out of their predicament.

[FoxTrott]

Fox absorbed each of their words, looking down at her hands as they spoke. The overall summary was that they were left to rot in here.

"... how are we going to get out?" she asked after a long, uncomfortable silence.

[Raven]

"We hope something happens so we can," Adam answered dismally. "As it is, there is no way out." Especially not shackled as he was to the wall. He'd been trying for weeks and weeks to find a way to escape, and he had nothing.

[Gifted]

Kayla shrugged, then sighed. "Literally ANYONE other than me would be more help in this situation. ...Except for Gabe. but he hardly counts. I am a gifted, but my power is terrible for this sort of thing."

[Raven]

Adam sighed. "Well, at least we're not alone now," he said with sarcastic cheer. "Company is sure to help improve the mood of this place.

[FoxTrott]

Fox was not looking forward tot he prospect of being trapped in one room for the next... however long forever was. She looked at Adam's chains, wondering how hard it would be to break them.

"I'm not about to stay in here forever," she proclaimed, "there's got to be some way out..." She pushed herself to her feet and walked about the room, looking for something, anything.
