"Well, that's good to know, at least." Fox got up from her secretary's desk, and instead slid to the floor, her back resting against polished wood. Her secretary leaned over the side, trying to listen to Fox's conversation. "Go ahead and ask whatever it is you need to ask. As long as it doesn't involve marriage," she added with a small smirk.

[Raven]

"In a way, it does," Raven replied, grinning. "I want you to be my maid of honor at my wedding."

[Gifted]

"Well that's good to know," Heather said. "and I hope this place will be better too. How long will it take before we reach the city?"

[Rachel]

The large guard smirked. "I'm still going to need you to come with me so that we can make the offical checks," he told her, tucking his hands behind his back. "I just need you to come downtown."

"Ma'am."
Rachel looked up. "Yes, Riley?" she asked. The man had silently slipped into her office.
"I was wondering if you were going to cancel the festival or not..." he said awkwardly. That next night was the date of the annual festival, celebrating Rillia's founding. Only not that many people were excited about it due to the rebellion. They probably assumed that they were going to attack.
Rachel looked at him thoughtfully. "I don't know..." she said slowly, a small smile speading over her lips. "Let me think about it."
Riley nodded and went back to whatever he had been doing before. He crossed his fingers as he left. The motion went unnoticed.

"What!"

The secretary fell out of her chair when she saw Fox shoot up from the floor. She was in the process of getting back into her spinning chair when Fox began rambling.

"I mean," the leader began, "sure, but, I always thought, if I went to your wedding, Crow would be the groom... Is he going to be the best man? Gosh, Rave-chan--" --the secretary shot her an odd look-- "--I mean, sensei, err, no, I should stop talking... What I mean to say is, I'd love to be the maid of honor."



"Annex, and the bus stop should be just ahead," Samuel said, slicing his way through the vines, "From there, it's a couple hours to the main city. I need to run a few errands there, so if you don't mind, I think I'll tag along. We're running out of batteries at home."

After a mighty slash, they emerged into a small clearing, with a dirt road running in and out of it. A few huts were in it, with a goat tethered to a post next to one. A bus was stalling at a flagpole with the flag of the country at it, the driver tapping his watch. Samuel rushed to the long, yellow school bus, and jumped in, waving for Heather to follow. The driver wasn't at all bothered by the fact Samuel was still carrying his machete.

Raven laughed, then frowned at the reminder that she still had Crow to talk to. "I don't know if he will be," she told Fox, avoiding using Crow's name. "I'd like him to be, but..." She bit her lip. "I don't know if he'll even come."

[Gifted]

"Can't you just run a metal detector over me or something? Can I at least see a badge?" she felt uncomfortable, something wasn't right about this guy.

Heather raised her eyebrows as she got on. "A school bus?" she mouthed to Samuel as she sat down.

[Rachel]

"Nope, Miss, I can't do that," he said, crossing his arms. "But I can show you a badge, I guess..." He rifled through his pockets before coming across a small gold medallion, the crest of Rillia. Little did the foriegnor know, all Rillians were issued one once they were of age, at twenty ((Rachel has one, but Rachel's the dictator, so... *shrugs*)).
He pulled it out and flashed it to her before shoving it back into his pocket. "Can you please just follow me?" he asked her, his patience wearing thin.

Yazmin decided to stall just a little more, see how the man would react. "Just let me get something I left in the boat," she said, turning to it and rummaging through it like she was looking for something but keeping a careful eye on the cop.

[Rachel]

"Miss can you please come with me!" the guard growled. "I have to have you back there in five minutes from the time that I left, otherwise the others assume that you've resisted and come out looking for you." He placed a hand on his hip.

[Gifted]

"Really?" she said, her eyebrows raised. Police wern't this pushy back in Panem, especially not if you were coperating. "Is this the standard procedure in Rillia? It doesn't seem all that professional, not compared with Panem,"

[Raven]

On the islands, most of the people knew their general neighborhood. In fact, on the islands, each area was split into small neighborhoods. Each neighborhood tended to help the others out and the people who lived there were always helpful, even to strangers. Younger people often chose to move away from their neighborhood when they turned about 20. While children came of age at 15, which was also when they could get a first real job (meaning a job outside the employment of someone in their neighborhood), they generally tended to stay at home until they were off to a good start saving up money to get a house. "Hi!" a little boy exclaimed as the older girl got off the octopus-like thing. "I haven't seen you around... Where are you from?" he asked happily.

"I'm from Panem," she said, smiling at the little boy. "I'm Rakel. Whats your name?"

[Raven]

"Cody," he replied. Then a girl, who was about his age, though slightly younger called his name. "Come on," she hollered. He glared back at her. "You're not my boss, June!" he shouted back, then turned to face Rakel, rolling his eyes.

Rakel laughed. "You should go with your friend. Maybe I'll see you around. I'm looking for a place to live right now," she said.
