Cousins in Arms

"Not really." She answered glumly.

'Excellent! I'll see you there when I can get ahold of the smokes then. I'll text you when I'm close' Liam texted back.

"Okay," Adam said.

'Sounds good. See you.' He promptly deleted the conversation so that no one could read it if they went through his phone and started replaying Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.

"Can I go upstairs now?" Willow asked. Upon getting a yes she went upstairs and did not come down again.

Liam was a fifteen year old boy. Sure he clearly had money and a driver who would drive him to the next city whenever he liked, but that didn't change the fact he was too young to buy a pack of cigarettes at the store. So it was entirely unexpected that the very next day, just as kailen was getting out of class for lunch, he got a text from Liam 'Hey, I'll be there in ten minutes. I tried to time my arrival for your lunch. Can you make it?'

Kailen blinked in surprise, but put most of his books in his locker, just bringing his bag and one of his math books so he could claim he was going to study if Adam or Willow caught him, and texted back, 'Yeah. I'll see you soon.'

Willow had been keeping to herself even more than usual since they'd gotten in trouble and it was quite easy to avoid teachers to leave the building, so Kailen managed to get to the bus stop with no trouble at all.
Sure enough, ten minutes later, Liam's car pulled up and he got out. "Hey Kailen! How've you been? You wanted these?" He held up the packet.

"Doing good. You?" Kailen said, grinning and holding his hand out. "How'd you get them that fast?"

[Gifted]

"You'd know if you came to my town." He said, grinning. "I can get whatever I want. No one dares say no to me."

[Raven]

"Seriously?" Kailen asked. "That must be pretty cool."

[Gifted]

"Oh, you have no idea." Liam smiled. "I sell this stuff for petty cash. Cigarettes are usually too small for me to bother with much, but I live with grandpa. For you you could make decent coin selling them."

[Raven]

"Maybe I'll have to come visit soon," Kailen said, watching his cousin for a reaction.

[Gifted]

"I'd love that." Liam said. "But you have to text me before you do. Make sure I can meet you at the bus stop. That towns insanely dangerous, especially to outsiders. I wouldn't want you out there on your own."

[Raven]

"Alright," Kailen agreed. "I'll make sure to let you know. It's good to see you."

[Gifted]

"Yeah, it's great to see you too." Liam answered. "So I'm here now; what do you usually do at lunch? Do I get to meet your friends?" He grinned.

[Raven]

"Usually me and Willow hang out, either doing homework or sneaking away from school," Kailen said. "But it's probably best she doesn't know you're here."

"Why's that?" Liam asked curiously.
