Joan nodded. She mostly didn't want to let on to Ryan that she had an extra priority in trying to find a good new base - an extremely secure spare room without windows and a door that they could reliably lock.

"Yeah, see you." Or should it be a whole separate location altogether? That might be smarter, actually, then Katrina couldn't disturb the others before sh was ready and in a worse case scenario where she broke out, Crucifix wouldn't then immediately have access to their base.
But then she would have to find a base as well as an easily accessible, isolated, extremely secure extra hideout that was close by yet simultaneously not obviously connected to the actual hideout. The chances of actually finding that were minuscule, that was way too specific. Maybe she could make a room herself. The kinector had to help with that, right? Hollow out some space in a really thick plant... but it'd take ages to use the kinector to hollow out an area that couldn't then be simply cut through with glass shards... goddamn plant-buildings making this harder than it had to be....

Ryan headed off to the north, going to scout the locations they'd been eyeing previously.
