[Raven]

"Not too long," Roux responded, shrugging.

Nisha's attention being pulled back to herself made her voice get quieter again.
"A crossbow," she answered. "You?"

[Gifted]

"Maybe I'm just too used to mine. It may be a bit flimsy, but I can change it really fast. See, all that's holding it together is this little bit here" She held it out flat in front of her to show the brighter, shinier silver part. "So, all I have to do to transform it is this." She hit the underside of the staff with her knee and the whole middle popped off. She caught it in one hand, tossed the three pieces to the side, and held up the two blades that were all that was left. "See?"

Opal gestured to her ax. "This old thing. I'm thinking I should build a new one, though. I don't really like it."

[Raven]

"Cool!" Roux enthused. "That's really quick, that's awesome."

"Really? I think it's cool," Nisha offered, looking at the ax.

[Gifted]

"Yeah, it's pretty great. From mid to short range at a moments notice." Tang agreed.

"Yeah, I put a lot of time and effort into building it, but I was a little kid at the time, you know? Now I just get bugged for it. I'd like something different. Maybe something close range."

[Raven]

Nisha nodded. "That makes sense, I suppose."

"Yeah, I can do it in the middle of combat, but not that fast," Roux agreed. "But mine is sturdier."

[Gifted]

"Yeah, most likely. Yours is probably better material, too. One day this thing's gonna snap on me."

"Does your crossbow turn into another thing?" She asked Nisha curiously.

[Raven]

"Yeah, it turns into a sword," Nisha responded, smiling. She pulled it out of the sheath at her back, which ran alongside her quiver of bolts. She jerked it just so, so that it turned quickly into a crossbow of gleaming, dark metal.

[Gifted]

"That is awesome." Opal examined the sword. "My ax turns into this huge gun, practically a cannon, but it's got a long cool down period and the kickback nearly makes me fall over. I think if I made a new weapon it'd be smaller." She mused.

[Raven]

Nisha nodded. "Yeah, it's hard for smaller people to have such big weapons," she said. She was glad hers was lightweight.

[Gifted]

"Yeah, I wasn't really thinking practicality when I made it." She admitted.

[Raven]

"I don't think a lot of people were. I just thought mine was awesome." She smiled.

[Gifted]

She laughed. "Well you got that much right!"

[Raven]

"Yeah, kids tend to be like that. Though I think I'd still make my weapon just because it looks cool if I had another chance."

[Gifted]

"Yeah, you definitely don't want to lose the cool factor in designing a weapon. So what area of Vale are you from, anyway?"

[Raven]

"I'm from the south, a city called Rise," Nisha responded. "How about you...?"
