Ryan scowled. "I take it you don't know what happened while she was missing?"

"No, we don't know." He admitted. “But you're asking the correct questions. "

[Raven]

Awhina shook her head. "So you brought us in to clean up the mess of the last time you tried this? That sounds really stupid. I thought people were joking about Americans but the longer I'm here the more I see it. No wonder a foreigner got chosen for your super secret mission."
Cassie's eyes narrowed, but she looked at Xander and kept her mouth shut.

[Gifted]

Xander unsheathed his sword in an instant and pointed it at Awhinas face. "I don't know why you were chosen, but I do know you have no idea what you're dealing with.
I suggest you drop the attitude before I drop it for you."

[Raven]

Cassie looked shocked. Awhina glared at Xander, keeping her mouth shut. Ryan had opened his mouth just as Xander drew his sword, but whatever he was going to say was swallowed at the older man's threat. He grabbed Xander's sword blade, but his hand didn't bleed, or even apparently get cut. "If we're supposed to be a team, I doubt threats are going to help anyone," he said.

[Gifted]

His expression didn't change. "You five are a team. I am a commander and it is my job to make sure you are trained sufficiently and know where the hell you're going. I will not tolerate any egotistical teenage bullsh*t. This isn't high school anymore.“

[Raven]

"Then you should have considered a job away from egotistical teenagers. Unless we're training to fight you, I don't think the sword is going to prepare us for her," Ryan said. He sat back down.

[Gifted]

"Guys, can we please just stop?" Jason interrupted. “Please?" He cast about for a question to get them back on track. "If she can control a large number of people at once, what's stopping her from grabbing all of us when we try to attack her?"
The rather good question calmed Xander down some. He lowered his sword. "Your abilities. She can't control anyone with powers from a distance. She can posses you, but with that she's limited to one body."

[Raven]

"We're sure it's any ability?" Awhina asked.

[Gifted]

"Yes. Back when she fought for us, there were dozens of superpowered terrorist the first team had to combat. It never worked on any of them or any of her teammates."

[Raven]

"What about her weaknesses?" Cassie asked, if only so that Xander could tell the others.

[Gifted]

"The main one involves said possession ability. As I said before when she uses it-"
"Oh, I can't believe I missed that!" Stephanie said suddenly. Xander looked at er and she blushed. "Sorry. Just, you said she could only possess one body, not person. That's including her own body, isn't it? She can't move her own body when she's possessing someone elses."
Xander looked at her for a moment. "Correct. When she is possessing another person her own body will collapse. Hurting her body will still hurt her and will cause her to return to it."

[Raven]

"That's useful," Ryan commented. "Any others we should be aware of?"

[Gifted]

"Just one more relatively minor thing; injuring her while she's using her control method may make her fumble and drop a few strings. It's more likely to happen the more of them she's holding."

[Raven]

"So our strategy is to hurt the girl we're trying to hurt," Awhina said.
