"Sounds good to me," Kailen said, shrugging.

"If you guys want, I'm in. There anything good playing?" Stephanie asked, getting up to start walking toward the theater.

Kailen got up to follow her. His immediate suggestion died in his throat due to their ages. "Ah, I'm not sure actually."

Monique followed as well. Despite having made the suggestion that they go to the movies, she actually had no desire to see any of the current movies in the theater. Unsure, she quietly suggested, "A comedy would be nice."

It was what Stephanie had feared and why she hadn't spoken up to say anything. "You two have never been to movie together and have totally different tastes, don't you?" She giggled, shaking her head.

"Ehhh," conceded Monique. "We like a lot of the same things. Not everything, but a lot of things."

"I'd be okay with a comedy," Kailen agreed, shrugging.

"What kind of comedy are we thinking, here?" Stephanie had a very hard time imagining Kailen sitting down for a romantic comedy or Monique sitting down for anything too crass and wasn't entirely sure they were thinking the same things when they said 'comedy'.

Monique glanced at Kailen, then stared out at the snow. She mumbled something unintelligible.

"The normal kind?" Kailen questioned, shrugging. With friends like his, he had no idea how common romantic comedies were. As far as he knew, those were just things mothers talked their husbands into watching.

"Well like, I can't see you watching 'How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days, and I can't see Monique watching "The Hangover." As an example." Stephanie pointed out. "I'm good with whatever, but I don't want one of you hating the movie."

"We could compromise," said Monique warily. "Watch something lame but inoffensive. None of us would want to see it, but none of us would not want to see it."

"Lame but inoffensive," Kailen said, chuckling. "I'm good with whatever. I can just occupy myself with the popcorn, and the looks everyone will give me when they realize I'm there alone with two girls."

Stephanie giggled. "Okay, but you asked for it!" She looked up the movies currently playing online. "Kung Fu Panda 3 is playing. There's also a comedy playing called How To Be Single."
