The device in question was quite rare and most of her professors had no idea what it was. However, one of them raised an eyebrow. "Well... If I'm not mistaken, I know what it is, but I'm not sure why you're asking. I can't be sure with this little picture, but it looks like an NPE - it's a device used to strenghten neurological pathways in the brain, primarily to help those with social or learning disorders."

"I was on a tour in the laboratory on the day of the break in, and I managed to snap a picture of this guy running out with this. I was wondering if I should tae it to the police, but that seems like an awfully strange thing to steal. It probably isn't the thief."

"Yes, there isn't going to be much ability to sell it, and I can't think of a reason to steal it to use it, so I suppose it's possible one of the employees was trying to move it. The building was coming apart. It's good you're safe."

Leslie texted the others as soon as she was out. My prof says it's an NPE, used to strengthen the brains of ppl with learning disorders. There don't seem to be secondary uses. Why would Kenny want something like that?
