He had his own car? She wondered if his parents paid for it, or if he had his own part time job. "Okay. Sounds like fun." She agreed.She grabbed her stuff, waiting to follow him to where he was parked.
Mira sighed. "I understand. You need time. It freaked me out too, when I realized what was going on, I'll admit. I can go for now, if you're busy." Mira jumped down onto the ground and walked to the door. "I'll see you later, Emilia."

Emilia didn't correct her. Any time was better than nothing right now. She couldn't go back to that.
Kenny packed up his things and put his bag over his shoulder, then led her out to the parking lot, pulling out his keys to unlock the shiny new truck that was his.

Kenny shut the door behind her and went to get in on his side. As he put the key into the ignition, he spoke again, "I had the good fortune to be born into money, actually." He pulled his seat belt and clicked it into place, glancing to make sure she'd done the same. "My school counselor suggested I go into stocks, but I've always thought that's really just a socially acceptable form of gambling."
