The stantler was hit and it stumbled slightly, but it just seemed to annoy the creature. It came at McDuff with a tackle of its own.

"Of course," Nurse Joy said brightly. She took the ball and put it in the same machine. A moment later she came back, returning the pokeball to Demetra.

"Thank you." Demetra nodded and went back out to train some more. She went a little ways away from Doomette, wanting to train on her own, and released Aurora into the trees and grass.

[Raven]

A wild Vulpix appeared! Lvl 3!

McDuff staggered at the Stantler's Tackle, only barely able to continue. "Oh my," said Doomette nervously. "Okay, new plan. Use Tackle again!" McDuff obeyed the command. The second McDuff started forward, Doomette circled around the Stantler, madly waving her arms and shouting, "Hey! Over here!"

The stantler started to look towards Doomette... And promptly fainted at McDuff's attack.
McDuff gained 70 exp!
McDuff grew to level 6!

The vulpix bared her teeth as the Zorua lunged, but whimpered in pain and fainted when the blow came.
Aurora gains 45 exp.

Demetra grinned. "Yeah, good job Aurora." She smiled, getting down onto one knee and petting her Zorua's head when it approached her.

[Doom]

"McDuff! Ya bloody did it!" Doomette opened her arms to embrace McDuff, who was now barreling towards her while experiencing a second wind. The Lillipup jumped into her arms, and she hugged him. "Ya bloody did it!"

[Raven]

Another wild Vulpix appeared out of nowhere and circled Aurora. Apparently it was not happy. Two more shifted in the grass, growling savagely. The first one blew embers at the Zorua.

Demetra was shocked as her aurora was burned.
Aurora let out a cry of pain before going to Scratch the Mama Vulpix.

Doomette, having ended McDuff's small celebration, spotted the trio of angered Vulpixes ganging up on Demetra and Aurora. She gasped, throwing down her pack and pulling out a potion. She sprayed McDuff's bruised shoulder and head.

"Alright, McDuff!" shouted Doomette. "Give their leader a right good Leer!" McDuff bounded forward, throwing himself between Aurora and the mama Vulpix.
