Jet shrugged. "Absolutely none, sorry Ma'am. I just happen to be her friend." he said, still smiling. Jet was about 17 years old, looking perhaps even 18, so it may have seemed an odd thing for him to say, which he realized as soon as it was out.
Montague painfully climbed up to sit on his head and stare at this odd new person.

Danica's brow furrowed, an urge to protest rising in her. It was no secret that she wasn't a strong runner by any standard, and any plan that involved more running was less than desirable in her eyes.
