"What do you think yer doin'?!" screamed Doomette, partly at the attacking Zorua, partly at McDuff, who was retaliating on his own.

Demetra's eyes widened when she realized this pokemon was not wild. "Aurora, stop!"
But Aurora didn't listen.

McDuff fainted! Aurora gained 150 exp.

She grew to level 6!

"Aw, now look what ya did!" said Doomette, kneeling beside McDuff. "Ya went and picked a fight with a stranger and ya lost." McDuff responded with a whine. Sighing, Doomette withdrew McDuff into his Pokeball, hastily saying, "Sorry about that. He won't trouble ye anymore." Without another word, she turned and began for Ecruteak's Pokemon center.

[Gifted]

"I'm sorry, it's my fault, I thought he was wild." Demetra said to the trainers retreating back.

[Doom]

"No, no," responded Doomette, speaking over her shoulder. "The lad's just a bit reckless is all. He had it comin'. 'Besides, no harm done." She turned to Demetra with a smirk. "That's one tough darkie ya got there." She nodded, then turned and began for town again.

[Gifted]

"Thanks." Demetra smiled, and returned Aurora to her pokeball. She probably ought to take Aurora to the pokemon center as well, that had been a tough fight. So she followed behind the other trainer, not speaking.

[Doom]

Making no acknowledgement of Demetra following behind, Doomette arrived at the Pokemon Center and presented McDuff's Pokeball to the nurse. "The lad got 'imself into a bit of a scrape. Think ya could help 'im out?"

[Raven]

"Of course, it will be just a moment." Nurse Joy took the pokeball to a machine.

[Gifted]

Demetra waited patiently in line behind Doomette.

[Raven]

Just a moment later, Nurse Joy returned with McDuff's Pokéball. "Here you go, dear. Be careful out there!"

[Doom]

"Thank ye kindly!" Doomette turned to hurry out of the Pokemon Center, only to bump into Demetra. "Oof! Sorry! Didn't see ya there." She brushed off Demetra's shoulder, cleared her throat, then went around her and out of the Pokemon Center. When out of the Center, she glared at McDuff's Pokeball, saying, "Alrighty. You need to toughen up a wee bit. We're gonna work on that." So she returned to the same patch of grass Demetra had been training at, releasing McDuff. "Okay. Let's go a huntin', boy." McDuff yipped excitedly, bounding through the grass to find a wild Pokemon to battle.

[Raven]

Demetra stepped forward. "Could you please heal Aurora? She hasn't fainted yet, but she's in no shape to be battling..." And she predicted she'd have to do lots of that when she moved on.

"McDuff! Hit it with Tackle!" Doomette's command was heeded with gusto, McDuff charging forward to strike.
