Look as he might, Nero found nothing around the path. When he popped out on the other side of the tall grass, though, he was met with the sight of three trainers who also appeared to be together. "Hey, want to battle?" one of them called, spotting Nero and his companions.

Demetra wasn't one to pass up a challenge. "I'll take one of you on! I mean... if my friends are going to battle too..." She added timidly, looking back at the others.

"Umm... Sure i'll battle with you Demetra!" Nero let out a smile knowing this is a good opportunity to really know what a battle will feel like. He looked behind him "do either of you wanna battle too?"

Doomette agreed to battle, but Jet sat back on the sidelines.

"Great!" the trainer who had spoken cried. "One pokemon each!" They each threw out their pokemon.

Demetra pulled her pokedex and targeted the most menacing one, a big green one with swords for arms.

"Scyther, the mantis pokemon. The sharp scythes on its forearms become increasingly sharp by cutting through hard objects," Dexter the Pokedex bipped as the Scyther ran at Artemis.

The scyther fell flat on its face and stabbed itself with its own claws before it reached Artemis.


The cat pokemon jumped towards McDuff, using Fake Out.

Seeing the same type of pokemon Artemis was really fired up and quite... unhappy. "Alright Artemis use TACKLE!"
Artemis looked at Nero out of the corner of her eye and then quickly back to Scyther, Her mouth filled with blue flames and she opened her mouth spewing the draconic energy to towards Scyther.

Freaking critical hit, the axew fainted. Everyone gains 210 exp. And McDuff was flinched, I forgot. I'm assuming that Demetra is going to pokedex the glameow now.
"Glameow, the catty pokemon. It hides its spiteful tendency of hooking its claws into the nose of its Trainer if it isn't fed," the pokedex informed them. True enough, the glameow's trainer looked to have been mauled on the nose more than once.
The glameow growled at Artemis and leaped to scratch at her after she had slain the glameow's friend.
